Chapter 1

<Vic pov>

". . . What's so good about picking up the pieces
What if we don't even want too . . . Thank you New York!" I shouted into mic for the crowd at the end of our song and while the music fades off.

And I walked off stage with my band mates Tony, Jaime and my very own baby bro Mike.

As I wiped the sweat off I heard our manager call for me.

"Vic you got a call from Alex in All Time Low and he wants you to do a song with them. Make sure you call him back" he said to me and then walked off to the bus.

But still being tired and sweaty from just performing I decided to wait a while before actually calling him back.

I took a nap and showered then I called him. I still have his number from high school.

Alex and his band mates went to high school with me and my brother, but once they got a record deal they dropped out and moved to Baltimore and I don't hear from him that often. I formed Pierce The Veil pretty much right after college with Mike and we then met Tony and Jaime and here we are.

"Hello?"

"Hey Alex it's Vic" I said to him.

"Oh, hey dude! What's up?"

"Well I got a message from my manager that you called and want to do a song?" I asked him.

"Yeah, I wrote a song and I think you'd be perfect to be featured." He said.

"Oh. . . "

"Yeah, we're staring to record our next record and wanted a couple of featured artists."

"Yeah sounds awesome, when though?"

"Oh, when can you be in Baltimore?" He asked me.

"Well since we're on tour we finish in Baltimore in three days we can do then, otherwise we start our next tour"

"Ok cool, I'll email you a copy of the lyrics so you can learn it, see ya then"

"Alright, bye Alex" I said then hung up the phone.

With in minutes I got a email from him, with the lyrics.

The songs called 'A Love Like War' then I started reading the lyrics, damn this is really good, but I knew Alex and he was great at writing songs. I was getting excited to sing this with them.

It will be good since All Time Low are more out there and a bigger name then us hopefully it will help promote us more, and maybe we can tour with them too.

So I laid in my bunk on the tour bus and tried to learn the lyrics, while we drove to our next venue.

"Hey Vic" Mike said.

"What's up Mike?"

"What's did Alex want?" He asked me.

"Oh, he wants me to sing on one of their songs for they're new record" I told him.

"Dude that's awesome, you know how big they are, the promotion would be huge especially since we're going to be recording again soon" he said.

"Yeah I know, that's why I'm doing it with him, also cause Alex is an old friend too" I said.

Then Mike went to his bunk.

I continued to sit on the couch in the bus reading the lyrics, Alex even put my name in front to the lines I'd sing.

Tony and Jaime are playing a video game in the back, cause I hear Jaime complaining that he keeps losing to Tony.

His was a fairly easy some to remember so I should be able too.

I decide to take a break and check Twitter. Wow our fans are going crazy about our show. Then I saw that Alex tweeted that I was going to be on the next record and his and our fans kept retweeting and commenting on it.

"Hey dude what are you doing?" I hard Jaime say.

"Just checking Twitter and it's going crazy"

"Really? Why?" He questioned.

"Well since Alex tagged me saying that I'm going to be on the next All Time Low record the fans are going nuts" I told him.

"What! Alex asked you?" He said,

"Yep" I said popping the p at the end.

"Dude that's awesome, maybe this will be our big break to their fans as well, they're huge" he said excitedly.

"I know I'm excited about it too! He sent me the lyrics wanna read it?"

"Uhh, hell yeah, and I'm tired of losing to Tony back there" he said chucking.

He jumped onto the couch next to me and I reopen the email from Alex so Jaime can read it.

Jaime is like my best friend, besides my brother and Tony, but Tony is closer with Mike, they hang around together more and don't talk as much in interviews.

"Dude this is a great song, can't wait to hear it finished" Jaime said.

"I know, same"  I said.

"Alright whose making the food!" Jaime yelled getting up from the couch, but to no one in particular. Jaime always wants food, but is always to lazy to make something himself.

"I'll do it, just shut up" I stated to him.

"I love you Vic" he said sarcastically.

I just rolled my eyes, and got up from the couch and set my laptop down and headed over to the small kitchen.

Ok hello everyone! This is my new story. I hope everyone is excited by it because I am. This is going to be a very different type of story than I have previously done. This won't be as depressing and they're not in high school. Also I won't update this one until I finish at least one of my other stories, this is just to get everyone started. So slow updates in the beginning. Idk when the next update will be fyi. Well I hope you enjoy! =)
