DISCLAIMER: I DO NOT OWN TEEN WOLF, THE SHOW'S PLOTLINE, OR ITS CHARACTERS. I ONLY OWN MY OCs. THE REST OF THE CHARACTERS BELONG TO MTV. I ADDED SOME OF MY OWN SCENES AND ADDED SOME OF MY OCs INTO SCENES FROM THE ACTUAL SHOW, AND VARIED THE PLOT SLIGHTLY TO WORK IN MY OWN LITTLE PLOT, BUT OTHER THAN THAT EVERYTHING BELONGS TO MTV AND THE WRITERS OF TEEN WOLF.
Chapter 3 ~ Something Old In A New Beginning
*Patrice's POV*
Okay, so one thing that you should know about me is that I'm not exactly a big fan of people. I mean, I talk to people (or at least I try to). I really do. But, I'm pretty shy, to be honest. I'm an introvert through and through. This year, though, things are definitely going to change. I'm still gonna be the same old Patrice, just more... social. I mean, I'm pretty social in general, but also a very awkward person at the same time. Does that make sense? Probably not, but just trust me on this, okay? Okay. (that TFIOS reference though...)
Anyway, back to the story. I'm looking for the main office, and by "looking", I mean wandering around the halls until I stumble upon it. And I'm failing miserably. I turn my head to make sure that I haven't passed it.
"Where is the damn office? I must've passed it. It's gotta be around here somewhere—" SLAM! I feel my body hit the cold tile of the hallway and pain immediately shoots to my head. 'Did I hit a brick wall or something? Damn.' I notice a shadow being cast over me, and I look up.
"Oh my god. I'm so sorry. Are you okay? I should've been paying attention to where I was going," the "brick wall" says quickly. My eyes were a bit blurry from the fall, and I realize it's because of the blow to the head and the fact that my glasses weren't on my face. 'The impact was so strong that my glasses fell off my face. I am the epitome of accident prone.' I see that my glasses are right beside me, so I grab them and shove them on my face. The first thing I see is the so-called brick wall that I ran into; a boy. He seems to be the same age as me. I don't know why, but he looks so familiar. With his captivating blue eyes that are filled with worry and concern, curly brown hair that I just want to touch, strong jawline that looks like it could cut my hand from a single touch but also has a softness to it, and his tall stature. He seems really nice and a little awkward, just like me.
"No, no, it's fine. I'll be okay. I'm sorry for bumping into you. It's my fault. I was the one who should've been looking where I was going," I say in an embarrassed tone. I look down to avoid his eyes. 'Great, My shyness and awkwardness is coming through.'
"Here, let me help you up," he says with an outstretched hand. I feel eyes watching us and I turn around to see Scott and Stiles staring at us, watching the events unfold. I turn back and grab his hand, him pulling me up carefully. Wow, his hand is really soft. But it's also pretty calloused. How even??? Is everything about this guy a paradox or something?!' "Are you hurt? Do you need to see the nurse? You could have a concussion or something," he says, his tone laced with concern. I chuckle at his never-ending questions about my well-being, which makes his eyebrows furrow in concern.
"I'm completely fine, dude. Trust me. I've had a couple concussions before, and this is nothing compared to the injuries I've had to deal with. But thank you for being so concerned about my well-being," I reassure him. He visibly relaxes and sighs in relief. 'He's like a shy puppy! He's freaking adorable.' A question is itching at the back of my skull to be asked, so I go ahead and ask. "Hey, do I know you? You look very familiar, and I just can't seem to put my finger on it," I ask, voicing my thoughts. He looks at me and sighs in relief.
"I was just thinking the exact same thing! I know you, somehow. I just know it," he says excitedly."Well, my name's Isaac," he says with a smile and his hand out to shake mine. 'Isaac...Wait... I know that name! Isaac... Lahey! That's what it is!'
