Note to Reader: Hey guys! Finally finished the new book- took longer than I expected! Booker's Mate is up for sale on Amazon, iBooks, ARe, Google Play, Smashwords, Barnes and Noble, etc. (Kobo should be up soon, hopefully). I'm planning on uploading a new chapter every Friday- maybe more often, but I definitely want to stick to at least once a week :). Also, if you like bundles, Mate Series, 1-20 (the whole series so far!) is available to purchase most places except Amazon (their terms for something that price just aren't good, unfortunately). And Mate Series, 18-20 is also available (that one is also on Amazon :) ).
I'm not sure when I'm going to take down Thatcher's Mate and Kyler's Mate (or Booker's Mate for that matter!). I'm debating myself right now lol. I'll keep you guys updated on that- I might end up taking Kyler's Mate down first though, just so you know :).
Anyway, I hope you guys enjoy Booker's Mate! Oh, and warning- this first chapter is kind of short! It just came out that way!

"This is a pretty impressive resume. Why do you want to relocate to Sunnyvale?"
I looked at Sheriff Booker Marino, trying to gauge what tactic would work out best here.
He was a large, intimidating looking guy. Around six feet two inches, with shaggy, dirty blond hair and brown eyes, dimples that I'd only seen briefly as he spoke to one of his officers, and a muscled body packed into the tan uniform that he wore.
I was guessing the five o'clock shadow he was sporting was perpetual since it was only one in the afternoon.
There was no getting around the fact that the Sheriff was hot by any standard. Not a distraction I needed, but it wasn't as if I had a choice in the matter.
"I just wanted a change of pace. I've lived in the city my whole life and it felt like it was time for something different."
He stared at me, his face so neutral that I could have projected any emotion I wanted onto it.
Neat trick.
"I see. Well, I'm just going to make some calls, check out your contacts here, and give you a call. Are you staying in town?"
"Yes." I'd already rented a small place that suited me just fine.
And after having to pay rent in the aforementioned city, the break in price was a nice surprise.
"Great. I'll be in touch." He stood, signaling the end of the interview.
I followed suit, taking his large, callused hand in mine when he offered it.
His eyes didn't change as they met mine.
Maybe I was the only one who felt that tingle of attraction at the touch, even as platonic as it was.
"Thank you for the opportunity."
He nodded.
As I walked out, I smiled at the officer working the phone and she smiled back at me, her face round and cheerful.
At least someone around here seemed to like me.
I doubted I'd be getting a call back from the boss though.
I could feel Booker's eyes on me as I stepped out.
Booker
I watched Saif Basra walk out.
He looked just as good going as he did coming, the suit he'd worn to the interview cut to fit that hard body.

Booker's Mate (Gay Werewolf Romance)
WerewolfSheriff Booker Marino isn't sure about hiring Saif Basra. He's definitely qualified, but he also seems like he might be hiding something. And the fact that he's instantly attracted to the guy is only one more possible complication. Saif doesn't thin...
