06. teens can be a handful

AALIYAH

The dinner thing with the Stilinski's was actually pretty okay. His dad and mine were mainly just talking about the bus driver and how they're not sure what attacked him. But at the same time my dad would be watching me eat my food. It was really uncomfortable for him to watch me eat.

"Teens could be a handful." Sheriff said

"Tell me about it. Ever since my wife died, Aaliyah has become quite a handful." My dad said whispering the last part "You know with sneaking off to who knows where and the disorder. I mean she has hardly touched her plate"

What my dad said got me mad. I think Sheriff Stilinski could also tell that my dad might have gone a little too far.

"Well I'm sorry dad that I can be quite a 'handful' " I said air quoting the word handful.

I headed to room and locked the door. I was really angry to the point where I just began to throw stuff. I don't know if it was because of the whole werewolf thing or not. I just felt that I was loosing control. My long weird claw nails had come out and my eyes were yellow.

"Aaliyah. It's Stiles. Can you open the door?"

I was beginning to worry that maybe today my dream would become a reality.

"Liyah please. We can talk about it" He said

I began to calm down and control myself. Liyah.

I opened the door, I was my normal self.

"Are you okay?"

"I am now. " I said as I hugged him.

"Come on let's talk about it" He said sitting on my bed

"My dad just frustrates me. He says I'm a 'handful' but he is hardly home for him to 'handle me' like what the heck. And if it weren't for the hospital visit he wouldn't have noticed yet. Like ughh--"

"Hey. I understand. My dad was like that the first few years when my mom died. I just think he still hasn't gotten used to not having your mom around. He probably has a lot in his head that he didn't think before he said it. But the important thing to know is that he loves you okay" He responded

I just hugged him. His hugs made me feel safe. Like I actually have someone who understands what I'm going through and always knows what to say.

"Stiles we're leaving!" Yelled his father who was downstairs

"You can always text me if you need someone to talk to okay. Goodnight Hastings"

"Thanks for everything. Goodnight Stilinski" I replied as I kissed his cheek

STILES

After almost getting hit by a baseball bat by Scott's mom, I had to give Scott the good and bad news.

"I'm going to start with the good news. The good news is that she kissed me. Well it was more of a peck on the cheek, but it's still something"

"Wow it took you guys long enough. *laughs* She made the first move."

"But it might have also just been a 'thanks for being there for me best friend' type of kiss"

"Is that the bad news?"

"No. My dad had left to the hospital. It's the bus driver. He's dead. " there wasn't really any way to sugarcoat it
