There she was silently standing over her best friend stroking her palm ever so slightly. She quickly glanced over her shoulder to see Marie her friends mother quietly crying while her father Morice squeezing his handing. All of them doing the same thing listening to the faint short breaths of her friend . She had known it her friend was going to die and there was nothing she could do about it . She had heard the doctors talking to Marie and Morice telling them their daughter was going to pass and that their was nothing they could do either . No one had told me but I had known . Her best friends eyes fluttered has she tried to sit up. " Serra " we had all whispered quietly . " Yup that's my name dont wear it out" she had said . She had always been the happier out of us two , she had kept many secrets from me though. she had known since kindergarten this was going to happen . She had waited for 14 years to start dropping hints . Missing school , loss of hair, wheezing . I can remember the day she told me the truth , we were on the couch watching x files . The day I cried for the first time in years . "Ive got got cancer " she whisperd to me .By this time I had finished that flashback I realized her parents left to get the nurse who was in charge of Serra . I leaned in close and whispered " as long as I live i will never forget you " . " Well no duh cause im gonna be with you until you die silly " she chuckled has she fell back asleep .
