Taylor's POV

"Taylor! The barbecue's ready!" I heard Tom shout from the garden, making my stomach grumble by just thinking of the delicious taste of Tom's infamous recipe.

We were celebrating our third Fourth of July together today, and by next year, it wasn't just going to be us two.

I rubbed my belly - a bump was clearly visible to everyone as I was five months into my pregnancy. Tom and I just got married five months ago, and I guessed we didn't waste any time making a baby.

"Taylor!" he called once again, thinking that I hadn't heard it the first time.

"Coming!" I shouted back at him, grabbing – hopefully – enough plates for everyone from the kitchen.

I saw his muscular figure walking through the backdoor, and he immediately asked if he could help. I just nodded and muttered a 'thank you' before smiling up at him. I was truly glad that we could be friends after our rough break up.

"How's the baby?" he asked casually as we walked to the garden together. His eyes trailed down to my stomach as he smiled slightly.

"He's good," I replied. "How've you been? I haven't seen you in a while," I continued as we stopped walking.

He set the plates down and replied,"Oh, you know. Just the usual. Music, touring, not having a girlfriend."

I laughed while he gave out a small chuckle. "It's crazy to think that we were meant to be, and now here we are," I said, still laughing lightly. Adam had never failed to make me laugh.

"Yeah. Now you have a husband and I'm still single. Why is life so unfair?" he whined, putting a hand up to his forehead in a face palm.

"I missed those impressive acting skills," I teased, remembering the times when he actually acted way too dramatically.

"Thanks," he replied, a slight smirk on his face. "I bet you missed seeing my stupid hair, too."

"I do, actually. I have to tell Tom not to gel his hair every single day," I joked.

"You probably should, girl," he said in his best American accent, giggling afterwards. Giggling. And not just giggling, but the girly type.

Before I had time to retort a smart comeback, Tom suddenly said,"What the hell is happening here?"

"Tom, I swear this isn't-"

"No excuses," he told me.

"No, it was my fault," Adam tried to say.

It was quiet for a while, the tension between the three of us was so thick that I could practically slice it with a knife. The others were looking at us, before looking away and beginning to make noise again.

All of a sudden, Tom started laughing.

"Guys, I was just kidding," he laughed.

"What?" Adam asked, completely confused about what on earth was going on.

"I'm not actually mad-"

"Oh, you ass!" I exclaimed, a grin on my face. "I thought you were going to leave me! Oh my God," I said, sighing in relief.

"Of course I won't," he said, scooping me into his arms.

"Uh... guys? We're still here..?" someone from the group said awkwardly.

"Well, let's give them something to watch, then," Tom whispered, before kissing me passionately.

"OH MY GOD! MY EYES!" a voice, which wouldn't belong to anyone else but Charlie - as in, Adam's bestest friend. Is that even a word?

"Oh, shut up, Charlie. Let them have their moment," Adam scolded, and I could tell that he was smiling.

In the end, we did have our moment. And I was glad that everything turned out just fine.
