~Finn
Talia dragged me all the way to the back of the school yard. Beyond the fence was a forest that had started to grow past the green iron bars. I took the time to admire each branch of one tree. The way they twisted and weaved through each other.
“Finn, concentrate” Talia clicked her fingers in front of my face, drawing my attention to my younger sibling.
“What?” I asked, rather annoyed at her disturbing my thoughts. She rolled her eyes and wacked my arm.
“You dimwit!” she yelled “did you not just hear her? She’s a Morale, more importantly, the one we happened to be looking for!”
“How could you possibly know that? We've only just met her” I tried to reason with her. The first bell rang cutting Talia off. We both rolled our eyes and bolted towards the school building.
After going to reception for my timetable I headed off towards my first lesson; English. I pulled open the door and strolled in.
“Oh hello, you must be the new boy. Am I correct?” A bald man stood up from his desk and made his way towards me.
“Urm, yeah” I said after clearing my throat. The teacher nodded. “My names Finn McCarthy”
“Well Finn, I'm your new English teacher Mr Whitters.” He gestured to the class. All the students were looking at me with curious expressions. “We’re currently working on a class project, if you would like to join River’s group, they only have three people.” A boy with black hair looked up when his name was mentioned. When he saw me, he grinned and said something to the two people in front of him.
I walked over to his table and grinned evilly when I saw who I was joining.
“Ah Raven, we meet again” I smirked with a wink. A dreamy sigh escaped her friend’s lips. The other girl from outside, how fun. Raven turned around and flicked the other girl’s nose, pulling her back to reality.
“Just sit down so we can get on with the work” she growled in an animalistic way.
“Rae what have I told you about growling at people?” River said, as if talking to a little kid. Raven stuck up her middle finger at him and continued to doodle all over her work sheet.
“So, your names Finn right?” I nodded “I'm River, this is my sister Renee and you obviously know Raven”
“Obviously” I laughed lightly “Renee, such a beautiful name for an even more beautiful girl.” I smirked when a blush crept along her tanned cheeks.
“Thank you” she spoke in just above a whisper and looked at her work, her blush fading slightly. I noticed Raven glaring at me from the corner of my eye. Perfect.
