Chapter VΠ: The Gardener

After the banshee I don't feel like doing anything, she sure was troublesome. I took a good rest in my grandma's house and everything went back to normal. "My butler came to pick me up, bye grandma" I said waving at her, "bye, Akemi" she said waving me back and smiling.

Today is Saturday I'm in my home and I don't know what to do, maybe I should call Sakaki to practice my skills now that I know they aren't so good, or I could practice here some spells, I'll do both, but first my skills, |ring ring| (calling Sakaki) {hey Sakaki good morning} I said, {oh, good morning Akemi, why did you call at this hour?} Sakaki said with a sleepy voice, {Oh Oh! last night I fought a banshee! and I thought she was going to kill me! but she didn't! Haha what do you think about that!} I said confidently, {uhm... Really? Good for you, is that why you called me at this hour} Sakaki asked a little annoyed it seems, {Well... maybe? A-anyway I'm calling you so you can help me practice with my sacred weapon! That's all, okay bye} I said {w-wait Akemi!} I cut him off, "huh? Was he going to say something? Oh well, I'm going to practice my spells before he comes".

|ring ring| (picks phone) {Hello, Hello}, I answer the phone, {Akemi! You wake me up calling me early in the morning to help you practice, cut me off and didn't even tell me where exactly we are going to practice!} Sakaki said a little furious, {ah hehe, Sorry? We can practice in my house} I said, thinking it was okay now that my house is big enough, {fine, send me the address, I meet you there} he said.

(door bell) he's here, "Sakaki, are you ready!, uh, are you okay?" I said confused, "are you sure this is your house?" He said in shock, "yeah, why?" I asked, "is huge is a mansion!" He said in disbelief, "(chuckle) come on in, I show this mansion to you until we get there" I said.

He was in awe the whole time, "so are you ready now?" I said waiting for a response, "sure, let's start" he said.

After practice, we took a break and drink some lemonade, "Sakaki, do you want to see the garden?" I asked, the garden is the part that I love most about my house, it has a fountain, a table with seats and beautiful flowers, even though is almost like a labyrinth, I know every inch of it, "yeah, why not I bet is huge and green like in movies" he said standing up, (walking to the garden) "See I knew it! It is like in the movies, I wish I had a home like this, although they say that not everything is good about them" he said looking around the garden, "well you are right, I kind of feel a little lonely here now that my parents are always working, all I have is the Butler and the maids" I said a little sad. We seated in the table,it was really quiet for a second until Sakaki started talking "this is so relaxing, hearing the birds sing, the water from the fountain, the smell of roses and the soft breeze" he said relaxed, (leaves shaking) "huh? What's that?" I said searching where the sound was coming from when suddenly, a green medium height (small but not so small), weird looking creature appeared, "huh? What is that?" Sakaki said while getting close to it, the creature jumped into Sakaki's face, scratching him, "ouch!, get out of my face!" Sakaki tried to take the creature off but he couldn't, and for one reason I couldn't stop laughing, I tried to help but I didn't know how, I couldn't attack because if I did I would hit Sakaki, and I couldn't do a spell in this state, so I looked for the book and searched for the creature, "ah! I found it!" I said happily, "it's called The Gardener, he is a plant keeper (he protects the plant from harm) apparently he doesn't do much unless you do something to them or the plants or simply because it doesn't like you, I'm guessing that it doesn't like you, pfft! Haha (keeps laughing)" "Stop laughing and help me, get him off of me!" He said, "okay, okay phew!" I said trying not to laugh, "come here little guy (grab him) oh, he's heavy (puts him in the floor) I'm sorry if this bad guy did something to you" I said, "hey! I didn't do anything!" Sakaki said with his face all scratched, "(the gardener speaking indistinctly)", "oh, okay bye" I said without understanding a word the gardener said, "why didn't he do anything to you!!, that's not fair" Sakaki said, "maybe is because I'm not an outsider? Haha!" I said laughing at Sakaki.
