Matt sighed and hauled his backpack over his shoulder, walking through the hallway at school. He adjusted his glasses and walked passed all the kids that were screaming and yelling. "Hey, Hargreaves!" a boy yelled, smiling. Matt stood right there and stopped, not daring to look behind him. "Where are you going?" he walked over. "J....I.....I..... I'm not really sure... just waiting for school to start...." he stuttered. "Why don't you hang out with me...?" he asked, smiling wide." "I...I'd rather not...." "But it will be sooo much fun!" he grabbed his arm and dragged him off. "L-Let me go-" "Shut up before you cause a scene." Matt was always terrified, he hated everything and everyone.... well... hate isn't the word... no... hate was a strong word.... just plain terrified of everyone.... "Do you even have any friends?" ".....no, not really....." "Well, it's because of the way you look and act." "I-It is....?" "Yeah, you're geeky and not even perfect, you're not even beyond. If you want someone to like you, you've got to look different." "....h....how do I do that.....?"
"Well..... you've got to loose the glasses, for one." "...But.... I can't see without them...." "Get contacts." "...a....alright...." "Good. Now get out of here." he pushed him away roughly. "......" he started to walk away, just wanting someone to like him. "Hey, Hargeek." someone pushed him against a locket. Matt hit his face on the locker, his nose now bleeding a bit. "H-Hey, leave him alone!" a boy in a red hoodie pushed everyone out of the way, growling. "Oh, my nose....." luckily, his glasses weren't damaged. "Are you okay, Matt?" the boy asked. "Yeah... this happens everyday, heh."
The boy looked at him worried, grabbing his hand and leading him away from everyone. "That isn't a good thing, Matt." "Yeah, but I learn to vent and cope, Tord....."
