Monica walks up to the front desk of John Muir Hospital. "How may I help you?" Says the nurse.

"We are here to see the body of a boy that just came in today." Monica answers politely.

"Do you know his name or what he looks like?"

Monica turns her head around and mouths, "Do you know his name?" I shake my head in reply.

"We don't know his name. But my friend, Lily, knows what he looks like when he left us." Monica waves me up to the desk. I sigh lightly and I walk up. The nurse looks up from her computer.

"Explain..."

"His skin was singed-" The nurse interrupts me.

"Oh yes. Liam Payne. In the C wing, volt 4." I nod.

"Thank you." Monica says. She grabs my wrist and we run down the halls, through the A and B wings, until we finally get to the C wing. Monica opens the door to the C wing. "Are you coming, Lil?" I bite my lip. Even though I love drama, I hate dead things, especially after that incident today with Liam and that dark figure.

"Y-You know...I'm not sure..." I look down and rub my arm. She rolls her eyes and drags me in. Oh my god. It smells like death. "No no no no no! Monica stop! Let me out of this room!"

"No Lily. We have to find him." I plug my nose and my eyes start tearing up, "Ah here it is. Volt 4." Monica turns to me and smiles, her green eyes turning dark. "Open it, Lil." I raise an eyebrow at her.

"F-Fine.." I stride forward to the volt. I out stretch my arm, my hand shaking. My hand shakes harder as it finally rests on the handle of dead Liam's volt.

"Open it. Why aren't you opening it? Do you know how to open a volt?" I shake my head and turn to her, scolding.

"MONICA STOP!" Monica jumps back, looking at me surprised. I have never yelled at her like that. She cups her mouth with her hands. "Look, I am sorry, Monica..." She shakes her head and waves me to the volt. I turn back to it, press down the button with my thumb, and pull it open. I can't bare looking, so, I squeeze my eyes shut while I open it.

Monica gasps, causing me to open my eyes. I jump back, mouth hanging open. "Oh my god...h-he's gone..." The volt shuts closed violently. I grab Monica's arm tightly. "M-Monica..." I turn around to look to see what Monica is doing. A scream escapes my lips. Monica was replaced by the black cloaked figure. It stands over me. "WHAT DID YOU DO WITH MONICA?!" It doesn't answer. It replies by shooting a bright purple light at volt 4. It causes me to stumble back into the other volts.

My head slams against one of the handles sending a shock, a vibration through my head. My eyes roll back around in my head. I raise my hand and place it on the back of my head feeling a wet liquid pour perfusivally out of my head. I bring my hand to my face where I see my palm covered in warm blood. My eyes wander up to the tall shadow figure that mocks me slightly.

It stands above me, bright, purple light in hand. I can hear shocks of electricity coming from the cloaked person. The power of electricity. He killed Liam...and know he is planning to kill me. "What do you want with me..." I manage to get out. My brain can hardly function and I am loosing blood. Fast.

It shakes it's head and points the electricity at me. "Please..." I whimper. A wickedly evil smile appears under the hood of their cloak. The electricity grows as it sucks in more power before it shoots at me. I scream loudly. Blood curtailing screams. I can feel my skin burning and bursting. I inhale deeply and shoot out my arms to the sides.

"STOP!" My screams echo through the room and I feel the burning stop. Gravity pulls me in for a bracing hug as I hit the hard, black marble floor. My head meets the floor with a crack. My vision blurs in and out. The last thing that comes in through my terrible sight is Liam's face.

. . . . . . . . . .

"Lily. Lily. Lily." A boys voice enters eardrums. My eyes flutter open, sight first blurry, but than focuses. Everything seems more clear. I look around before meeting the eyes of Liam.

"What...aren't you dead?!" He shakes his head.

"No. Not at all," He tilts his head and looks up, "Actually yes. I was. And so were you." I sit up and look at him confused.

"I...I died?" He nods and looks down.

"Look." Liam grabs my wrist and holds up the hand the was covered in blood to my face. I look at it in disbelief. My hand is engraved...with the same symbol as Liam. The tip of the triangle runs to the end of my wrist.

"How?" I look up at him into his eyes.

"The woman in the cloak."

"It's a woman? How do you know?"

"I got a glimps at her face. But all I remember is that her eyes where silver with green hugging the pupil and that she has pale, snow colored skin with brown freckles." I look back at my hand.

"Does that mean we have powers?" Liam nods.

"They're all different. We have to find yours."

"What's yours?"

"I have the powers of nature. I can control water, wind, etc." I look his at his face up and down trying to read his expression. Nothing.

"How can I find my power?" He sighs.

"The leader of us immortals, Monica."
