Kas Pov

*A week later*

"Hey Justin?" I walked into the room he was staying in. "Yeah?" He looked up from his notepad and smirked. I furrowed my eyebrows, but played it off by wiggling them. We laughed and I sat down next to him. Everything was back to the way it was. It was like he never left. "I wrote a song and I wanted you to hear it first." He smiled when I said that. "What's it called?" He asked. "I don't know what to call it." I bit my lip. "Maybe I should help." He put his hand on my thigh and butterflies erupted in my stomach. "Maybe you should." I smiled. Wait...is he blushing? Why is he blushing? Oh my gosh did I make him blush? What does this mean- "Kas? Ya gonna sing the song?" Justin shook my leg. "Oh, Y-Yeah." I grabbed my notepad and tucked some hair behind my ear. I looked up at Justin. I don't think I wanna sing in front of him anymore. I never sang in front of anyone except my mom and Caitlin. "Don't worry, just sing." Justin rubbed my leg, smiling. I gulped and nodded, looking down at my notepad.

I looked in my rear view mirror and

It seemed to make a lot more sense

Than what I see ahead of us, ahead of us, yeah.

I'm ready to make that turn

Before we both crash and burn

Cause that could be the death of us, the death of us, baby

You know how to drive in rain

And you decided not to make a change

Stuck in the same old lane

Going the wrong way home

I feel like my heart is stuck in bumper to bumper traffic,

I'm under pressure

Cause I can't have you the way that I want

Let's just go back to the way it was

When we were on Honeymoon Avenue

Honeymoon Avenue

Baby, coastin' like crazy

Can we get back to the way it was?

Hey, what happened to the butterflies?

Guess they encountered that stop sign

And my heart is at a yellow light, a yellow light

Hey, right when I think that we found it,

Well, that's when we start turning around

You're saying, "Baby, don't worry,"

But we're still going the wrong way, baby

You know how to drive in rain

And you decided not to make a change

Stuck in the same old lane

Going the wrong way home

I feel like my heart is stuck in bumper to bumper traffic,

I'm under pressure

Cause I can't have you the way that I want

Let's just go back to the way it was
