Chapter 8 : Whaaaaaaaaat?

Travis and Katelyn started walking over to Travis's house
Travis's POV
I wonder sometimes about her, the fact about her and Jeffory's past really worries me at times. She's been taking it well! That makes me happy to hear. I hope she's actually doing okay, sometimes, she doesn't tell me everything, I just... just gotta let her know she can trust me anytime, yeah!
-Katelyn sees a little boy and walks up to him-
The little boy looks sad as he sits and plays with his jacket on a bench
K: Hey hun, are you okay? Where are you parents? *she asks concerningly*
D: W-what are parents?
K: *starts to tear up a bit* they are the people who take care of you, the ones who gave birth to you, where are they? And how come you're out here so late at night?
D: oh umm.. I don't know actually hehe! I-I like stars...
-Travis watches from a far, and walks towards them-
-He sits down next to him-
D: W-who are you people? *gets scared*
K: Oh sweetie that doesn't matter now! What matters is finding your parents! When did you last see them?
D: Well, we were at this BIG store with many stuff, like a mall I think, a-and there were these two people, a lady and a man, who were with me-
T: Those are your parents hun, what happened after?
D: oh! Oh and t-they said they would be right back, so I waited at those bumpy black chairs that do this dugadugaduga noise heehee...
K: Go on...
D: they didn't come back, *starts to tear up* I-I didn't know that they were what you call "parents"! I always called them mommy and daddy. But I waited there for two days! And then, I gave up and came here!
-Everyone was tearing up-
T: It will be okay, come on, we will drive you to a place where you can get new parents!
D: R-really?
-Katelyn pulls Travis to the side-
K: *whispers* Travis! We can't drive!
T: *soothing voice* ahhh come on! We can use my dads car, how hard can that be? Hehe
K: T-Travis I swear... you might kill the kid! Look, let's just walk there and- *Travis helps the boy into his dads car*
K: TRAVISSS!! I SAID- UHHH FINE!
D: Heehee road trip! *seeming happy*
*Katelyn hops into the car, and they head off*
K: You buckled up kid?
D: Heehee yup!
T: By the way, what's your name hun?
D: I-its Dmitri... *smiles*
K: It's very lovely to meet you Dmitri! I'm Katelyn and this is Travis ... who is actually driving well- HOW ARE YOU DRIVING SO WELL WHEN YOU DONT EVEN KNOW HOW?!
T: AHAHA I DONT KNOW BUT I LOVE IT AHHHHHHH!!
D: *giggles*
K: Well, at least he's smiling *she looks back*

They get to the adoption center, and see that it's closed.

K: Travis! What do we do now? Our parents will be worried about us, the adoption center is closed, you stole your dads car which he is probably calling the police about now-

Meanwhile at Travis's house

Travis's dad: *walking towards his house* WAIT... W-WHERE IS MY CAR?! AW SNAP NO WHAT NO SERIOUSLY NO I NEED TO CALL MY SQUAD OVAR HERE
-Calls squad via Skype-
Travis's dad: SQUAD!! SOMETHIN BAD JUST HAPPENED... SO I CAME HOME AND-
-his phone dies- you serious right now?

Back to Katelyn, Travis, and Dmitri

K: Well, looks like we have to spend the night here
T: I-in this car!?
K: Noooo Travis on the sidewalk
T: Ah okay! Come on Dmitri let's go and-
K: Travis I- UGH! No it's sarcasm!
T: well I'm dumb
K: I can't disagree with ya there hun *starts laughing*
T: Da-pshhhhhh wow I see how it is *starts to laugh*
D: *smiles* t-they seem... nice together, hmmmm, maybe I can repay them by setting them up on a... what do you call dose? Hmmmm.. Hey Katelyn, what do you call it wen two people are alone together at a nice place?
K: A date?
D: Yeah! You and Travis should go on one of those heehee! In fact I'll set one up right now!
K: W-W-Wait! What no no no no no no no no no that's okay Dmitri!
D: I insist!

-Travis thinking to himself- Hehe I love this kid...
