Sulli as Go Sook Joo/Ji Won
"Why did he do this to me Unnie?! Why did he have to steal everything that're so important to me. " Ha Jin cried out, her busted lip and tired eyes catching many eyes of the people around the two women. Sook Joo rubbed her back, shushing her quietly and holding her head close to her chest as she sobbed.
"Thank you so much for being with me right now Unnie. I know you're busy-." HaJin rambled but Sook Joo cut her off.
"Ha Jin stop it, you know I would choose you over my job any day. You've been with me through my worst days, I'm glad you called me today." Sook Joo smiled, holding Ha Jin's hands tightly. They both grabbed their drinks and toasted. Downing their drinks, a rugged looking man neared them and stared. Both women stared back, and Ha Jin handed her drink over to the man. The man grabbed the drink and sat with them, chugging it down. The three bathed in the silence, until Ha Jin's voice broke out.
"Mister. Have you ever wanted to sleep for a hundred or thousand years?" Ha Jin's voice sounded tired, and leaned again Sook Joo, who looked at her with understanding. "Everything keeps going wrong and you don't see hope of it getting any better."
Sook Joo stayed silent, letting Ha Jin vent her feelings out to a stranger. She remembered the hardships she'd gone through herself just to support herself and Ha Jin.
"-I want to forget everything, but it's not working." Ha Jin sighed. "The jerk who left me with a pile of debt, the wench who fooled me and ran off with him. Gosh." Ha Jin let out a tear, and Sook Joo's heart twisted in pain. Ha Jin cried more and let her feelings out. "How did my life turn out this way?"
"Your life can't change just because you want it to." The man spoke up, surprising Sook Joo while twisting the cap of the bottle.
"Maybe if you died and came back to life again." The man turned over to sleep, and Ha Jin can only lift her head up and whimpered a "what?"
"Ha Jin, let's rest for a while, okay?" Sook Joo said, a small smile on her face to sooth Ha Jin on her heartbreak.
"Okay." Ha Jin smiled back and sat up straight, pounding one hand on the left side of her chest and letting out a big breath. Both of them watched a little kid dangling on the docks, trying to reach the boat but paid no mind to it. They both watched each other cautiously and closed their eyes, letting go of their problems, when Sook Joo heard a big splash. She opened her eyes immediately, her instincts taking over when she saw the boy was gone. Ha Jin now opened her eyes, her face in a confused expression. "Sook Joo, where's the little kid?" They both panicked, looking at the water when Sook Joo exclaimed "over there!" and pointed a finger at the river, where they both saw the kid floating. Standing up immediately, Sook Joo took off her shoes and jacket, rolling up her long sleeves. "Ha Jin, stay here, okay?" Sook Joo said quickly, and Ha Jin started panicking, "B-but Sook Joo..."
"Stay here Ha Jin!" Sook Joo ran towards the water, quickly diving in and reaching the kid. She grabbed the kid, just as a boat got beside them. The man on the boat quickly picked the kid up, and grabbed Sook Joo's hand. But there was a force keeping Sook Joo in the water, and Ha Jin saw this. Ha Jin panicked and threw herself in the water.
"Sook Joo!" Ha Jin cried out.
"Ha Jin!" Sook Joo shouted back.
Ha Jin kept screaming her name but Sook Joo was suddenly dragged down. Losing consciousness, the last thing she saw was the sun being covered by an eclipse.
