Chapter 1: splotch
I walk down the hallway clutching my books to my chest so that no one can rip them away from me or spill something on them. I take better care of my books than I do myself. After all I'll always heal and I can wash or mend my cloths but new textbooks are a luxury I cannot afford (thank god their is no uniform or I would be broke) "Hey, Splotch, looking very splotchy today!" Some one calls down the hall.
And everyone laughs like that was the wittiest comment they had herd all morning. I could appreciate this a lot more if they actually put some thought into it, but no.
Splotch is my nickname, because my name is Ink people seem to find it greatly amusing to call me things like 'spotch', 'stain' or 'blotch', because apparently I am a stain on the pride of the Blues.
It's funny though because their are only about 5 other Blues in the whole school and everyone else worships them.
My life reminds me of those high school movies that the humans made except without the singing and the caring about boys and that one kind friend the main character always has and the happy ending, so basically just the bad part really.
'Basic. I wish that things would be basic, simple.'
And once again I am defining words in my note book. Welcome to a day in my life first period English class on a Thursday morning and I'm already covered in fruit juice, Ink and coffee stains, lucky for me the teacher can't do anything about it as we have the right to dress however we please, and honestly I stopped caring after the first day.
I just gotta deal with it as it comes.
Because after all with Quill in hospital I can't afford to ask the government for more loans and I'm great-full for what I already have.
I could barely afford the medication for Quill before.
But I plan to change all that I'm going to save a lot of money and move Quill and I to the mars colony. They have the best medical care in the whole solar system.
Only problem is that the cost of a mega teleport from earth, (the worst planet to live on) to mars (the best) is going to be a lot. Not to mention that once I get there that medical facility isn't going to be cheap either. But I'll make it work. I have to find a way, for Quill.
