*Epilogue*

"Uhmm, Caroline?"

I turn around, wiping my tears away as they roll down my pale cheek.
Its her and I can't believe it.
It wasn't supposed to happen this way, after all these years.

She obviously looks like me, but not completely, she's got mom's ocean blue eyes; She's here to be with us all.
Elijah and I planned her welcoming but I guess it's of no use.

"Oh my god Camilla?"
I'm stunned to see her, words reach till my lips but fail to come out. She's got no idea on what just happened but I don't wanna be the one to break it down for her.

I wake up to the annoying alarm ever. We live close to the Brighton Pier, so the Seagulls are our living breathing alarm clock Ugh, its Monday again. FML. I drag myself to the washroom and get dressed asap. I'm wearing classic black tights with a jumper that reads 'Too glam to give a damn' that's so me.
I run downstairs picking up a pair of converse and pulling my morning hair into a top knot.

"Morning mum, hey dad" I greet as I stuff pancakes in my mouth.

"You look girly today, for once. Is everything okay lil sis? That's Elijah, the older sibiling. Its his way of saying 'good morning'

"Good morning to you too, you piece of shit" I snap back

"Caroline!" I completely forgot that mom's right in front of me. "No swearing in front of Elouise"

"Mum, she's 14! She's knows everything anyway. What's the point?"

"She doesn't have to know it from you or Elijah. Jayden's here to pick you up, sweety. Have a good day ahead" she says, giving me a peck on my forehead.

"How about a morning kiss for Jay? It'll light up his day" Dad chuckles. My whole family wants to pair me up with him, but he's just my best friend.

"He's with Alexia, dad. Get over it"

Jayden Atkins, my partner in crime and best friend since childhood. Our families are no different. Literal bff's.

I walk out of the door and see him leaning by his car. He's wearing a grey basic with black leather jacket along with ripped jeans and ankle boots.

"CJ baby! There you are, lil bitch. We're getting late" he walks towards me and pulls me in a tight hug. He's so freaking tall, which makes his hugs even more lovable.

"Jay, I ca-- can't breathe" I step back, grinning at him.

Its the first day of University. God damn. We're fortunate enough to be in the same class during Spanish and Law. It was quite exiting to be freshmen but that feeling was gonna fade anyway in time.
I was already getting tired of introducing myself in every single lecture. "Hey every one. I'm Caroline Jade Wattson"

"I'll see you tomorrow, Kay? I promised to take Alexia out for dine today. See ya later, love"
They've been together for a month now and he doesn't seem happy. Al is totally head over heels for him but it feels like the feeling is one sided. Jay hates the emotional talk and I never pushed him.

"She loves Orchids, you're welcome! and don't be awkward with her" I smirk at him and walk towards my house. As usual, mum and dad don't notice that I'm home.

"You won't want her to find out from someone else, do you? I think its high time you let her know, Laura"

I hate to eavesdrop on their conversation but I can't help myself. Who is dad referring to as 'She'?

"I'll let her know, in two weeks. It depends on her if she takes it as a birthday surprise or disaster. I'm going to Chicago the day after; I have to see her"

What the heck was that all about? Their talk is stuck in my head. Who is she meeting after my birthday? What will she let me know in two weeks time? I spend the evening trying to makes sense out of it.

"What's up!? How was the first daaayyy?" Elijah enters my room. Gosh, he's just full of life. I can't help but notice the faint lipstick stain on his cheek. Its Samantha. I try to ignore it while controlling my immense desire of teasing him and instead I focus on what's he's been blabbering.

"It went well, I guess. I already tired of waking up early in the morning" I don't want to talk about University now. My head's still bugging about the talk. I can't help myself but ask him

"Do you know anything about mum's Chicago plan after my birthday?"

"Uhh, what? Where did you hear that? Must be some business shit, you know how seriously she takes her work"
And suddenly his face expression changes. What just happened?

"I- umm gotta go now. Samantha's here, mum invited her over. Come downstairs dear sister. We're waiting"
Dear sister? Wow, Samantha does have an impact on him considering the fact he never calls me that.

But again, why did he try to change the subject? Or I'm assuming he did.
