The dust fluttered through the sky like a lost butterfly-a lost butterfly with nowhere to go. Alone. Insignificant. Without purpose. As it made it's decent a gust of wind comes and lifts it to the sky again; Ali watches-breath like the broken strings of a decrepit violin, tough yet shattered. She sat-spectating the fractured civilization surrounding her; her eyes, piercing blue, the colour of isolation- her hair was dark blond and straight; held in place with a backwards cap. This was her mask to the corrupt world around her. Fragments. Shards. Splinters. Her scattered memory was infecting her. She put together the pieces. But still. She knew - knew what horrors she had witnessed - but she could not bring herself to speak of them. She had found out the truth. The whole, ugly truth-now she wishes she could go back. Remain confused. Curious. A slave to society. Its better than knowing. It's always better than knowing. Have you ever asked yourself, what makes little kids so innocent? Well-its simple. Its the fact that they do not understand the world around them;blocked out, protected. They do not know the questions that remain unawswered. They do not know the taboos of life. They do not know what's right and wrong. Innocents- its the one thing everyone is born with. From the sick rapists wondering the streets, to isis's 'soldiers'. Once apon a time, everyone was innocent. But then. The world around you floods your ear's with knowledge and washes your innocents away from you! The one thing that you have had from the begining. They take. And it's gone. Ali's innocents was taken the day when she found out the truth. So I advise you; if you want a happy life. Living free within the gates of society, stop reading now, but if you are like Ali, and lavish the satisfaction of knowledge...
