I clenched my carry on tightly in my right hand as I proceeded out of the airport. I had finally gotten off the 8 hour flight to New Mexico. I had lived in New York with my parents but..they had recently passed away and I don't exactly want to get into detail on how it happened. I was going to be living with my aunt Kim and her husband Dominic until I can afford to get my own place and then move out.

I scanned the crowded lobby for my aunt's face but there were so many people running about that I could hardly get a good look of anyone. I sighed out of anxiety that I might not find her and that I'd be lost in this on going sea of people for the rest of my life. I reached for my pocket and pulled out my phone to see if she had texted me. She was pretty good about texting every 2 to 3 minutes to see if I was okay. Sure enough she had sent 7 texts in the past 11 minutes.

The first one read: "Hey, are you doing okay? Me and Dom are on our way there. Traffic is pretty bad so I'm estimating that we'll be there in about 22 minutes. Text me back when you see this. Love you." -Aunt Kim

The second one read: "Hey, it's me again. I'm just texting to make sure you're okay. We're 10 minutes away and we'll be waiting outside for you in the front of the lobby. Text me when you get off. Love you." -Aunt Kim

The rest of them said the same thing so I didn't bother replying to each one so instead I just texted her back by saying,"Hey, I'm alright. I just got off the plane and I'm standing inside the lobby. It'll take me a while to find my way out because of all these people but, I'll find you guys. Also, I can't text back every 2 minutes the way you can so, chill. Love you too." -Jacqueline

I spotted the exit which was across the freakin lobby. The thought of having to walk through this busy place was enough to give me the biggest headache. I took a deep breath and started to walk quickly towards the exit. I bumped into a few people but there were no problems until I bumped into something iron solid. The impact was enough to force me back a bit but not fall on my butt. I looked at what I had bumped into and saw that it was a boy. He looked to be the same age as me if not a year older. He was at least half a foot taller than what I was and his face alone was enough to make me freeze. His hair was a dark brown or black and it was faded at the sides and the top had curly hair that made him look like he had a small mohawk. His skin was flawless and a caramel type color. His eyes were a hazilish brown color which had really complimented his skin. In other words, this boy was the definition of hot and dreamy.

"Are you just going to keep staring at me or are you going to move out the damn way?" His voice was serious and his eyebrows furrowed into a frown. I jumped a bit at the coldness of his voice and looked down at the floor.

"S-Sorry!" I quickly walked past him and towards the exit. What a great way to start my first day in New Mexico. I bump into a hot guy and make a fool of myself. Good job Jacky. Good job.

I found my way out of the lobby and went outside where I was immediately hit with the hot, dry air of Mexico. Back in New York it was a bit cool out so I had decided to where a hoodie and skinny jeans. Now I see that it wasn't such a good idea. I looked around to see if I could spot my aunt and sure enough I found her.

She was standing beside her black bmw that had a convertible ceiling. It was a nice car. Suited her perfectly. She spotted me as I walked towards her and smiled with her perfectly white smile. She was a bit pale but had light brown curly hair that ended at the small of her back. You could tell she was Spanish straight off the back just by listening to her speak. She had the most beautiful accent that I have ever heard. It was as if the angels had taught her to speak themselves. A trait that her and my mom shared. She had light green eyes and was thinner than a toothpick. Just by hugging her you'd think that you would break her little body. We hugged for what seemed like forever. Until my uncle had finally called over and said,

"Hey you two, it's hot out here and I'm starving! Let's go!"

"Alright!"

Me and my aunt walked to the car and my uncle put my luggage in the trunk as I got in the back of the ceilingless car. I smiled as my aunt went on and on about how beautiful I was getting and how much I looked like my mother. I closed my eyes as the drive began and thought to myself about how my new life would be like. This, was going to be a crazy adventure.
