Quick sneek peek of the next chapter. Tell me what ya think.
IvyBloom's POV
Both of us were nearing the ground at an alarming rate. Fighting for control of the situation. Closing my eyes I braced for impact on the cold hard ground below us.
Dirt smashed into my torso and face as I rolled across the grass. Pain shot down my spine when my wings got lodged painfully under my chest and arms. I could feel blood leaking out of a gash just above my right eye and my left wing. Great. I just hope those don't scar.
MoonSteam's POV
IvyBloom and the mystery dragon smashed into the ground with a tremendous amount of force... only the black dragon seemed to have desolved into a deep purple powder that now glitters in the crisp green grass under me. What? Are they dead? Each thought that went through my head only made me worry more.
Landing beside the green dragon I inspected her wounds. A deep cut lay just above her eye along with smaller ones that cascaded her body and wings. Her left wing was twisted at a unatural angle leaving the joints tender and swollen. Great now we have to fix a broken wing. What next a sprained ankle? I huffed at the though.
"Come on get up. We have to find out where that dragon went." I Sighed looking at the body before me.
"Hey did you see how that dragon turned into dust? It was really weird." FrostBite asked me while picking up a bit of the purple powder.
"Yeah... it's unnatural" I replied confusion in my voice.
"Hey, wait a minute I know what this is." IvyBloom muttered picking up some of the mysterious powder. "It's obsidian"
"Obsidian? Why is obsidian here?" FrostBite pondered
"Obsidian is used in dark magic and and used by shadow dragons, but they were all thought to be dead. Due to the dark tendencies they had" IvyBloom informed.
"Oh well isn't that just great" I spat sarcastically "first the incident now this!? Ugh come on FrostBite we have to find this mystery dragon."
"No need" IvyBloom spoke up "there no longer any where near us"
Crap! How am I going to explain this!
I just sighed "Fine we'll head back to the den but this chase shall continue tomorrow got it?" I growled watching them attempt to help Ivy up.
Luna's POV
The illusion worked I looked behind me just in time to see them inspect the obsidian used for the illusion I sent. How did that work? Doesn't matter I suppose
-----
The howling of the wind against my house stopped me from getting any sleep at all. But I couldn't shake the feeling that there is somthing missing, that those dragons weren't all what they seemed.
Did they want to help me?
Why would they try and help you? No one ever has.
Stop...
Or what? Are you just going to run away again.
That wasn't my fault-
Oh but it was...
