"Dean." Cas spoke, slightly out of breath. Dean's eyes snapped up to meet the angel's disgruntled form.
"What happened, Cas?" The hunter asked, concern written all over his face.
"I was," he paused. "I just wanted to help out with the Thanksgiving preparations." He spoke in a rushed voice. Dean gave him a questioning look.
"What are you talking about? What preparations? You know we don't celebrate holidays all that much." There was a pause before Cas let out a nervous breath.
"I know, but I thought it would be nice to do something special this year...for once." Dean sighed at the angel's antics, but he couldn't help but to feel a little warm inside at his caring.
"Alright. Well, what did you do?" Cas fell silent at this, only furthering Dean's suspicion.
"I got a turkey." He decided on saying.
"Okay...and?" Dean was even more confused. He searched the Castiel's cerulean eyes, hoping to find an answer in them.
"A live turkey," He promptly averted his gaze. "...and it escaped."
Dean rolled his eyes and groaned.
"Really, man? A live turkey?" The angel looked nothing but ashamed at this point. Dean sighed. He knew the angel just wanted to do something nice and he appreciated the gesture, he really did, but now there's a wild turkey on the loose in the bunker.
"And I'm assuming you need help getting the turkey back?" He couldn't believe he was saying this. Cas nodded.
"Okay, yeah. Alright." Dean groaned and got up. He was about to start the great turkey hunt, but he was stopped at the sight of Cas taking off his trench coat and suit jacket.
"W-what are you doing?" He internally admonished himself for his stutter.
"I got hot." He replied simply. "No sense in being bothered by it." He added with all seriousness.
Did he just...?
"Right..." Dean trailed off, eyebrows furrowing slightly. Cas narrowed his eyes and gave the hunter a once-over. He couldn't help but to notice Dean's obvious discomfort and the flush of pink tinting his cheeks.
Is he...blushing? Interesting.
"You might want to take off your jacket and, perhaps, your flannel."
"I-what?" Castiel could barely hide his smirk. It wasn't an often occurrence to see Dean outwardly nervous, and he couldn't help but to be slightly pleased at seeing the hunter fumble with his words a bit. This could be fun.
