I walked around the small room they put me in. It had one of the beds that was chained to a wall to hold it up, a small metal table with two chairs, and little bathroom.
I banged on the door. "You could have given my something fun to done!" I mean come! A ball, a pack of cards, anything to past the time.
I sat down at the table and looked through my pockets. I found a pad of pink sticky notes and a blue pen.
I started drawing when the door opened, and in came the person I didn't want to see.
My mother walked in, closing the door behind her. Something caught my attention. She wasn't dressed as Wonder Woman.
She wore dark blue skinny jeans, a black shirt with a beige jacket, a white scarf hung around her neck, and a bag was on her shoulder.
She looked at me like the team did. She slowly walked to the other chair and stared at me. "(Y/n)"
I froze at her voice. Their was so much emotion in it. I masked my emotions and looked at her with a blank face. "Hi mom"
She reached her hand and stroked my cheek. I didn't move, inside my mind I wanted to scream at her.
She got up and walked up beside my chair. I turned to face her, she placed both hands on my shoulders and pulled me in a tight bone crushing hug. "Your back!"
I stiffened. Just as I was about to push her off me I felt something wet run down my neck. She was crying!
"I missed you" She cried into my shoulder. I didn't know what to. She replaced me and yet she missed me?
"Then why did you replace me with Cassie?" She looked up and took off her glasses and rubbed her eyes, clearing away the tears.
"Cassie had powers she needed to control. We thought joining to team might help" I shook my head.
"Not as wonder girl, as your daughter" Tears rolled down my face. She gasped and took my face in her hands.
"Cassie never took that place. I thought of you every single day" the tears kept coming for both of us.
"I'm, I'm still your baby girl?" I asked tearfully. She smiled.
"You'll always be my baby girl" she hugged me close to her. I cried in her chest. I missed her so much. All I wanted was to come home.
I looked up her. "You wanna met the new team?" I smiled and nodded. She grabbed my hand and we leave to room, ready to face them.
