Chapter Three: The Trusting Bond

The sky became damp and dark, rain began to drizzle. The warm dropplets cascaded down the rooms large windows. The pitter patter of drops turned into beautiful music, it soothed Kaname.

The two males remained in the same room for what seemed like hours in silence. The sound of stomping feet broke the peaceful silence. Kaname jumped picking up the scent of his father. "You have to leave now!" Kaname said. Kaname jumped off the bed grabbing the male's shirt. Caelan quickly stood grabbing his shirt. He slipped into his garment starting for the window. He swung open the large glass forms slightly turning his head. "Thank you". He said boldly pusing himself out the passage. Kaname nodded scurrying over to the window quickly shutting it. He turned when his father burst through the door. "KANAME!!" The man yelled. Kaname jumped as his father's voice echoed throughout the room. "Yes Father?" He asked. An anger filled expression luminated his face. "Why aren't you ready!?" He asked.

Kaname's eyes widened. "Ready for what?" Kaname asked. He was furious but after a few long breaths his eternal flame of anger went cold. "The Ball for Princess Elizabeth of Egon". He answered. "Get ready immedietly!" He commanded leaving the room. Kaname hated that Princess, she was stuck up and money crazied but Kaname wouldn't dare defy his father. Kaname began to ready himself.

Meamwhile in the southern parts of Noel there went a battle. The aroma of gunpowder and blood filled the air. Bones cracking, hearts breaking and blood cascading through the fields. Blood dripping from his carcise do to injury Caelan slashed down the blood sucking psychos. He got many more injuries than anticipated. Would he have to turn to the vampire for help?

Kaname stood tall infront of a mirror. He wore a jet black suit, white tie and golden head peace to repersent the Dren family. He nodded to himself and left the room. He wandered around untill he got to the Grand Hall. Fear and anxiety filled Kaname's stomach as he walked forward. He had never attended a ball, he didn't have very many friends so he didn't really have a social life. He continued walking. Out of no where a sharp form intercepted Kaname, it was the general. Kaname's eyes widened. "G-G.." The man interupted Kaname. "I know about the Angel, Kaname". Kaname jumped. "Plese don't tell my father!!" Kaname begged. The man chuckled. "Your secret is safe with me, my Prince". He answered. Kaname's eyes lit with joy. "You must tell the soldiers not to hurt him!!" He said. The General nodded. "Yes my Prince, now you better hurry their anouncing you". Kaname nodded scurrying along.

After a few seconds he got to the end of the luminating passage. The soldiers stood lined. Kaname tampered with his tie one last time before being anounced. "Ladies and Gentlemen, please put your hands together for Prince Kaname!!" A man screamed. Hands began to conceal as Kaname made his enterance. He lugged himself to the seat beside his father's throne sitting down. He rested his head in his hand watching every man and woman. A woman walked up to Kaname and his father. Just what he needed, to be bothered by the money crazied wicked witch of the west, known as Princess Elizabeth of a western planet called Egon. "Hello King Aurther". She said. "Hello, your Highness" He said. "Hello Kaname". Kaname rolled his eyes. "Hi". He said in a more dampened voice. The woman snared. "Kaname, would you care to dance?" She asked. "No!" Kaname coldly answered. "Kaname!!" His father said rather loud. Kaname rolled his eyes once again. "Of course, Lady Elizabeth". He said in a rather unhappy tone.

He stood brushing himself off. He closened on the woman and bowed."May I have this dance?" He asked. She nodded giving a traditional cursie. "You may". She answered. Kaname gently gripped her hand pulling her onto the dancefloor, they began to waltz.

In the being blood dripped from Caelan's body for they had won. Caelan felt triumph but in time a sharp pain shot Caelan in the side. What was he to do? Caelan began to quiver coughing up blood. He had no other choice but to ask the vampire for help. He stood tall without being seen he rustled through the forest to get to the Dren palace.

The Ball went on for hours that seemed like days but in time Kaname finally got the relief he longed for. The Ball finally ended, every undead corpse left the palace. Kaname yawned removing his head piece. His father walked right pass him as if he didn't exist. Kaname's heart ached but he ignored thr feeling and started toward his room. After a few twists and turns Kaname finally walked through his bedroom door closing and locking it. Kaname shut his eyes and rubbed is head. As he went on he heard the tapping of fingers on the saturated glass window. He carefully walked over to the window swinging open the forms. There stood the Angel. Kaname's eyes widened. Caelen looked at Kaname, his eyes pleading. "I-I need your help". He said.
