• The Splendid Cannibals •

One early morning in the village of Swampmuck farmer Hayworth was leaning on his mucking stick like he does every morning, when a little girl covered with bruises and dirt, hair dirty and wore ragged clothes, she looked like she hadn't took a bath for years! Approached farmer Hayworth, he is a considerate man and didn't mind the dirt that was almost covering the girl's face, instead he touched the girl's face and was suprised that she flinched, then thousands of theories formed into his mind so he spoke softly

"I won't hurt you child, so don't be afraid, what's your name and where did you come from?" Asked farmer Hayworth "I'm Maria, i came from a land not so far away from here, please help me! They will kill me! They will hurt me! They will hunt me down! And they'll never stop unless they have me!" cried Maria

Farmer Hayworth said that he would try his best to protect and hide her away from whoever was going to hurt her. Days passed and farmer Hayworth grew suspicious about Maria, since she would always go out for a few hours during the day and the night, she won't even eat the food he gives her! She would always make excuses like "Im not yet hungry" "I just ate" "I will eat later" and some other lame excuses that she could come up with.

It's been a month now and everyday Maria would have the same routine, once she wakes up she would drink a cup of water then help do the chores, after a few hours when it's almost  lunch time she would always disappear then return when it's noon time, so when she gets back she then would help farming. And when it's time for supper she would go out for a few minutes and return home feeling full. Everyday it's always like that.

But one evening it was a special night! Because tonight is a red moon that happens only every century! At the middle of the night, when the moon was at it's highest, as it shined brightly at the starry night, Maria went to farmer Hayworth's room, he woke up by the sound of his doors opening, confused on why Maria's standing in front of him looking at the floor and clutching her hands that her knuckles was almost turning white. Maria then looked up and saw farmer Hayworth's shocked face.

"Your a cannibal!" He said, farmer Hayworth was confused that a cannibal, such as herself, would ever want to live to a small 1 floored house made of wood when she could stay at one of the mansions. "Well you see farmer Hayworth i want to eat you, since I've been eating rotten meat for the past weeks, i tried to stop myself from doing that, but as a child i can't contain my hunger, specially when you are just a few meters away from me" Maria then started pouncing on farmer Hayworth just like a tiger pouncing his quarry.

"Ahhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!"
