My Foolish Ways: Chapter One
"Oh come on! That's a shitty call! That was not pass interference!" Jack stood close to the TV and popcorn fell out of his hand as he screamed. I rolled my eyes as i sat on the floor and leaned against the couch. A pair of boys feet rested right next to me. A slow motion replay of the football play showed on the screen.
"Jack, the replay obviously shows that it is" I spoke up as everyone but Jack ignored me. Jacks green eyes turned to me narrowed.
"Who are you rooting for?" He yelled at me. i sighed and stood up on my feet. The football game was becoming annoying to me since the team i wanted to win was loosing badly.
"That's right, walk away" Jack threw his words over his shoulder. I held up my index finger and my middle finger.
"Imagine my index finger down" I told Jack as i walked away. His loud laughter echoed in the small living room, and i turned my back to him as i walked away.
"Why don't you just flip me off like a normal person?" Jack yelled to me. I turned around to face him again.
"Because she isn't normal" my older brother, Justin, said without taking his eyes away from the screen.
"Fine I'm not going to buy you a butterfinger next time i go to the store!" I told Justin as i walked to our small kitchen. He loves butterfingers more than anything else in the world, maybe even me. Now he isn't going to get any. That's what he gets for making fun of me. I grabbed a cup and opened the fridge. Behind all the beer and liquor, i found the carton of apple juice. I smiled happily as i pulled it out, i was a fool, a complete fool.
When i agreed to share an apartment with my older brother of course i knew he would throw over the top parties. I knew he would be late on the rent sometimes, and he may not even pay once and a while, I even knew the chances of him bringing some idiotic girls over were very high, but i over looked one thing i should have thought was obvious. My brothers friends would constantly be stopping by and nagging me. I was a lonely girl in a small space, full of boys. My brother and i have just moved in yesterday and i could already see how our apartment was going to be overrun by guys.
I heard a collective groan come from the living room, i sighed along with them. the game must be taking a horrible turn for the worst. i brought out a bowl and filled it with potato chips for the boys in my living room. i walked out of the small kitchen and stepped into the living room.
I set the bowl on the glass table and looked around. Bryce sat with his feet upon the table, a black hat was pulled over his brown hair and his arms were folded over his chest. He was a total sweetheart, but the dangerous kind. The emotionless mask he wore never wavered.
Next to him on the sofa sat Christopher with a smirk on his face, He was watching jack practically heart attack screaming at the referee on the television with amusement. Christopher's hair was a mixture of brown and blonde, he was the perfect dirty blonde. The edges of his face were sharp and defined. His eyes were a shocking green colour.
Beside Christopher was my little brother had his hands pressed to each side of his face in anger and leaned his elbows on his knees. Robert was two years younger than me and four years younger than my older brother Justin. I had picked Robert up today so he could visit us. Robert was very into sports and always had a frown on when the team he wanted to win were losing.
