Mytheras POV:

"So then... What you're saying is I.. I..."

"Yes Mythera." Brendan sighed "that's exactly what I'm saying."

After hearing the news I was devastated, don't get my wrong. I was and am extremely happy... But...

"How am I suppose to tell him..?" I asked myself while pacing around my room. How could I tell Travis? Things were just starting to go good for us. Things were serious, we were and are happy together.

This could change things, make it harder for us. But I'm sure we'd last. Love is love after all. You never stop loving someone. Either you love them forever or you never did. And I knew id love him forever.

I finally stopped, sitting down on my bed. I missed the old house when I could look out my window and see Travis. But obviously, the old house wasn't really a good idea.

"Mythera?" Brendan knocked on my door. "I know you're sad, but I've invited everyone for dinner... You're gonna have to to tell them."

"I know. But I... I don't want to do it anymore! I wanna stay! with Travis, with everyone.

"Mythera..." Brendan sighed "you can always say no-"

"I can't! You spent so much money Brendan..." I bit my lip "I can't waste this chance..." I whispered.

For the dinner I decided on a long black jumper with high knee black socks and black flats. My hair was put up in a bun, topped of with a black bow. Brendan's touch.

I made my way downstairs once everyone was here, I was extremely nervous to tell them. After everything, this was something I almost hoped wouldn't happen...

We sat down all next to each other, I was squeezing Travis hand under the table. He obviously knew something was wrong, I only did this when I was nervous. He stared at me, a worried look stick on his face. "You alright?

"Yah..." I mumbled and stared at the food while everyone chattered.

"Alright everyone." Brendan coughed "there's a reason we're here... Mythera." He glanced towards me.

"Uhm..." I stood up and smiled towards everyone, "uh... I'm going to Australia... Permanently... I got the job.." I smiled. 

"Woah..." Crystal stared at me.

I didn't care what anyone thought– other than Travis. I looked at him, his eyes were wide and his jaw was clenched.

"Trav-" he got up and left.

"Damn it.." I ran after him, he shut the bathroom door on me.

"Travis..." I knocked the door "baby..." I whispered.

He opened the door, a fake smile planted on his face. "I'm happy for you."

I pushed my way in "I know you're happy for me. But you're not happy I'm going. I'm not dumb Travis. Listen.. Travis I know you don't want me to go, but... This is such a amazing opportunity! And I wanna take it... But I don't wanna leave you Travis... I love you so much, I don't wanna ever leave you..."

"If you don't wanna leave me... Maybe I should leave you."

My eyes widened a bit "Travis...?" I asked, shocked.

"What if you cheat? Mythera... I waited so long and you're leaving me again. I'm so happy for you! Don't get me wrong. But I can't handle you not being here." He clenched his jaw, sadness in his eyes.

"So... You wanna break up with me.....?" I asked as tears started to drip down my cheeks.

"I'm sorry, Mythera... I don't want to. But... I have to." He kissed me again, and I pushed him away.

"A kiss without meaning shouldn't be a kiss at all." I snapped opening the door and slamming in hard, walking back into the main hall.

Everyone looked at me, worry in their eyes.

I smiled "it's alright." I sat down.

"What happened?" Crystal asked.

"I'm single now." I smiled.

"OH HES SO DEAD." Crystal and Brendan both yelled. 

"NO! It was the best choice and you both know it. Now sit down and eat your fucking chicken." I snapped. 

"Yikes alright.." Brendan sat down.

A few minutes later Travis came out and everyone stared at him, he took his seat beside me and squeezed my hand under the table.

I tried hard to hold back the tears that threatened to fall, I squeezed his hand as hard as I could trying to relieve the pain. But it's true what they say.

It's impossible to heal a broken heart.
