I sit in the waiting room of the Poke-center scared and worried. "I really hope he is okay." I look around at all the other people in the Poke-center, all either with a worried or frightened expression on their face. As the time passes I think to myself, who would do that to a Pokemon? and what purpose would they have for an Eevee. just then Nurse Joy comes from the back room and calls me back. I walk with her through the corridor, looking around at everything. she stops me in the middle of the hallway and looks at me with relief and worry. "So about the Eevee you found..." she starts. "Is it okay!" I blurt out. "oh yes, it is fine. it lost some blood from trying to escape the trap but it is fine, however..." she trails off in her sentence. "what? is something wrong with it?" she looks at me with some sorrow. "come with me." I follow her to the room in which the Eevee was in. she opens to door to and excited and energetic Eevee. "whats wrong with it, he looks fine." the Eevee runs up to me and jumps into my arms, and that is when I found out what was wrong. "um... where is his tail?" the nurse looks at me. "we tried everything we could, but the trap that was clamped to his tail was designed to only release with the fingerprint of the one who set it. so we had to do something and this was our only option." the Eevee looks at me with gratefulness and kindness. "well then, I guess he is unique one then." The Eevee jumps out of my arms and runs around all around the room. "hehe he certainly is." the nurse giggles. "and he really likes you. maybe you should consider keeping him." The Eevee stops and sits right in front of me. "I don't know?" the Eevee looks at me and rubs her head against my legs. I think to myself for a minute. he does really like me and all, but I am just not sure if I can. I haven't dealt with pokemon since, well, since my mother died. The Eevee looks at me with big eyes. man he really want me to keep him. "ya know what Nurse Joy, I will keep him." the Eevee jumps around the room like crazy screaming with joy "Eeeeveeee! Eeee!" "well should I grab a poke-ball for you?" Nurse Joy asks. I think back to the poke-ball that Mr. McCormick gave me. "I have one." "okay." the nurse reply's. I pull out the new poke-ball and and open it and set it on the ground. the Eevee steps forward and allows itself to be sucked into the poke-ball. the poke-ball shakes twice and then dings, thus signifying the capture of the Pokemon. "weird, it only shook twice. it usually takes three shakes." I release the Eevee and and then follow Nurse Joy out to the main lobby. "Well looks like your all set to go. oh one more thing." she goes behind the counter and grabs a small little card with a poke-ball design on it. "whats this?" I ask. "oh this is your poke id." "my poke what now?" "your poke id. whenever you go out and your Pokemon gets weak, if you take them to a Poke-center they will scan the card and take care of your Eevee. they can even be used to sign you up for cool competitions and events. So hold onto that, got it?" yes Ma,am. thank you." "thank you for coming to the Poke-center. have a great day." I walk out of the Poke-center with my new Eevee. "well lets show you off the Mr. McCormick now shall we." the Eevee jumps up and down. "Eeeevee!" "okay buddy, lets go." we walk of back to Mr. McCormick's place to give my report on the poke-ball.
