"We are not alone. They're watching us" I mumbled to her as our feet skidded at the tip of the ground, pushed by the wind caught in the tangling ropes of the swings. She looked at me, the puffs in her cheeks morphing into a colour like that of a thousand leafs off of a tree. "I don't see anyone Carlo, except for mom sitting on the bench reading her paper."

Her denial was frustrating to me, I knew she felt it just the way I saw it. She never turned her head to them, but the fine hairs on the back of her neck always froze like soldiers whenever they passed us. " They are here, you know they are here," I said, staring blankly forward as I propelled my swin to go faster and faster. Her breathing ran into her chest as she pushed away the acing truth. Her face wrinkled into a ball and red fire blew out through tears as she threw herself off of the swing. I kept my head still as they slowly walked towards her.She tried to block out the breeze of fear scraping over her spine, but she shoke on the ground so rapidily it seemed forced. " They are mad now Sally. Tell them you're sorry."

I knew that I could not look at them, so I kept my eyes staring at the clouds forming in the distant sky. My mouth started shaking as they stroked her hair. 'Do not scream, do not scream, do not scream...' I chanted inside my head as I fought the urges to protect her. Cracks of pain cut each syllable of my voice as I tried to bead together safe words, "Sally, tell them you were wrong and they will leave you alone." Her breathing was still rapid as she carfuly unwound her body, spinning to stare them right in the eye. Her voice was like that of a broken instrument, the sounds only fainly heard through her frantic breathing, " Im sorry"

Hey y'all. So this was just an idea I had whilst looking at old pictures. I have this friend who can see people walking around, and the stories she has told us and the things we experienced are incredible. Just playing around with this book idea, tell me what you think so far.
