A Crazy Day At The Mall

While at the Mall

Vanessa arrived at the mall with her two friends Kami and Kat. They had been in the food court waiting for their other friend, Jackson. Vanessa and friends went to go get corn dogs while they waited. Jackson finally came and hugged Vanessa. They all shopped around at different stores, before Kami had to leave. It was raining that day and Kami's aunt wanted Kami to wait outside until she arrived. Jackson couldn't come with them, so he waited in one of the charging areas till Vanessa and Kat returned. The three girls started taking selfies and pictures of each other, until Kami's aunt pulled up in front of them. The girls said their good byes. Then Vanessa and Kat went inside to find Jackson again. Jackson had been sitting at a table in the charging area with one other young boy. The boy was about the same age of Jackson yet they didn't talk to each other. Vanessa and Kat sat diagonal from Jackson and started talking about nothing in particular. The boy kept looking at Vanessa. Vanessa found herself looking back at him. The boy came over to her and say in the empty seat next to Jackson. He introduced himself to the three of them, his name was Jaden. He was only a year old then the three friends, but was still friendly. He was just about to start high school while the three were only in grade 8. It turned out Jaden went to the rivle school, but was about to go to the same high school the three was going to go to. Jackson and Jaden got along well, and exchanged numbers. Jaden then started flirting with Vanessa. Vanessa wasn't that interested in Jaden, but sorta flirted back. Jackson had to go have dinner with his family so he left early. He gave Vanessa a hug and told Kat goodbye, then left. Vanessa was left with Kat and Jaden. Vanessa was mostly interested in a guy that she went to church with, but Jaden wouldn't take a hint and went and swapped seats with Kat. Jaden held Vanessa's hand and put his arm around her. She was still being nice and didn't tell him to back off or anything, but she was texting the other guy she liked. His name was Mason. Vanessa thought Mason liked her back, but he had texted her that he was uninterested and had a girlfriend. At that moment Vanessa felt overwhelming sadness, and wanted to be alone. Vanessa got up and tried to find some place where she could be alone. Yet Kat could see she was upset and ran with her trying to see what was wrong. Jaden was curious and wanted to know aswell. Vanessa just told him that she just needed to use the bathroom, but told Kat something different with her eyes. Jaden directed her towards a bathroom and followed her and Kat. Vanessa ran into the bathroom and she didn't want to be around Jaden anymore. She immediately blocked Jaden's number and texted her mom to come pick her and Kat up. Her mom responded with, "You're going to have to wait until I get off, in about 45 minutes. " While all that was happening she was thinking about just staying in there until her mom got there, but she couldn't leave Kat with Jaden, knowing how afraid she was of new people, or people in general. She came out and told Jaden to leave because her mom wouldn't want to she her daughter with someone like him. He left, for a while. The two girl waited there ans Kat told Vanessa everything Jaden told her about Vanessa, things like "Vanessa is so perfect, I just met her and I think I really like her." and "I can't belive I met someone so perfect like her." Vanessa felt sick to her stomach. After awhile, Jaden came back out of nowhere. He was saying things like, "I don't wanna leave you."... "I like you."... "I hope we can stay in touch." Vanessa looked at her phone knowing no one texted her, but looked up and said,"My mom is here, GOTTA BLAST!" Her and Kat ran so fast to the AMC theater part that Jaden didn't have a chance to ketch up. Kat spent the night with Vanessa because she knew she needed someone after what had all happened... but the next day, Jackson texted Vanessa telling her how much he really liked her and asking if she wanted to be his girlfriend. She said yes after awhile thinking about it and how much more she liked him. Jackson eventually told Jaden and Jaden got really mad and called her mean names that were offensive. Vanessa nor Jackson ever talked to Jaden again and Kat basically threatened Jaden to stay away.
