So although it is set in the same world, Rosemary's storyline will be a little different from that of A Dragon's Rider 's. Most notably, there won't be as many fight scenes(I'm awful at drawing those!) so some of you may in fact find it a little slow. I'll try my best  for you all to make it worth reading!

Here's as much of the plot as I'll let you know so far:

Fort Windamere is in uproar. Zircon Morgan, the school's only female student, was attacked by a creature of darkness, killing another recruit in the process. As far as everyone is concerned, this means war.

The Fort has been engulfed in a storm of militarization, with even the most inexperienced students preparing to fight in the battle that's sure to come. Above them, the Riders practice flying in attack formation, with Zircon and her newly-full-grown dragon in the lead.

But not everyone is sparring on the training fields.

Julie Anvers, 16. Medical trainee and Dragon Rider. She's here because her tiny village lacked the teenage male population to fill the government quota of four Riders, and she fully expected to be sent back on the second day. It's been two months. She knows she's not going back now. Just when she thought she'd be able to adjust, the sudden death of a close friend has left her reeling. Julie is sure that she doesn't belong, but also sure that she needs to stay strong in the encroaching battle, as there will be lives to save. He died for their sake, after all - he wouldn't want her to cry for him...

Aristotle Jacobs, 18. A thought mage who specializes in dreamweaving. Up until now, his squadron has only been learning non-harmful spells, but with the threat of war against the Shadowlanders, his classes have taken a decidedly more violent turn. When a prisoner is brought in for hands-on training, Ari and his classmates learn firsthand that their powers have the potential to be darker than anyone has ever known. Despite the insistence of their instructors that all is fair during war, the class sets out to fix the damage they've done, and end up taking the course of the coming battle into their own hands.
