When Joseph walked into his class, his teacher asked him to he would like to stay after  class. Joseph pulled out his phone and texted Nikita; I'm going to be a little late. Will you be waiting inside the classroom? He didn't know when she would reply, but he was hoping she would get it. After their session of singing practice, they were allowed to write lyrics on their own.
Joseph looked at his to see that he had a new message. Hey it's Adam, is this still ur number? Joseph was wondering why Nikita hadn't replied, but then he had an idea.
Yeah this is still my number. Do you have math on the tenth hall as your last class? Joseph replied. He had remembered that Adam was always in advance math classes.
Yea y? Adam quickly texted back.
I'm going to be late getting out of class and I was wondering if you could wait with her after class, just until I get there. Joseph texted quickly and anxiously.
Yeah man, no problem, but if it gets to be too late we're going ahead to the bus loop without you. Adam's reply came quickly. Joseph wondered if he was even paying attention to the class.
Alright thanks. Her room number is 1013. I'll try to be as quick as possible. Joseph texted back and put down his phone to work on his lyrics.
He was starting a new song. He was writing it especially for Nikita. As the lyrics were sung in his mind he wrote them on the paper.

~giving you happiness
don't want to take it away
Brighten up that darkness

Can't you see
You are my everything
I want to be yours

Just let me in
I'll take care of those walls
Make you trust me

It's going to be okay
Let go of the darkness
Give into the light

He thought about the lyrics, rereading them over and over. He sung them in his mind, making sure it sounded good to him. New lyrics came into his mind and he wrote them down.

2x Can't you see
You are my everything
I want to be yours

Let me give you light
Don't take their darkness
Hear my plea

Feel no more pain
No more
Don't do that to yourself

3x Can't you see
You are my everything
I want to be yours

Am I yours
Will you let me in
2x Please do~

By the end of the song he found himself constantly humming it to himself. The song wasn't record-making, but he liked it. Another entry to his songbook was finished, then the bell rang. The room quickly emptied, as all the students left except Joseph. He remained in his seat, letting the teacher come to his seat. "You've been in chorus for awhile now, are you interested in pursuing a career in music?" The teacher asked, sitting in a seat next to him.
"I haven't thought about it. I do enjoy it, but I'm not sure if I'm good enough though." Joseph answered.
"Your voice is good, so you have potential, but you might want to work on your lyric writing. I was thinking that you might be interested in going to a summer camp for the arts. They have things for music, writing, and art." The teacher said handing him a flyer.
Joseph looked at the flyer, reading all the details. "This does sound cool. It's supported by many orphanages and other organizations. You said it also includes art?" Joseph asked as he thought about Nikita. He was starting to realize that once summer started she would be alone again.
"Yes, I didn't think you were interested in art. And those orphanages also send their kids to this camp." The teacher said.
"I'm not really interested in art, but one of my friends is really good and I thought she might be interested as well. Could I get a second flyer for her?" Joseph asked looking up at the teacher.
"Certainly. I'm glad you're interested." He rose from the desk and went to his podium. Joseph grabbed his backpack and put his phone in his pocket. He walked up to the teacher's podium, as the teacher handed him another flyer. Joseph took the flyer, as he felt his phone vibrate in his pocket. He waved goodbye to his teacher as he left the classroom.
Just outside the classroom, in the hallway, he looked at his phone which had a new text message.  Joseph could hear the slight sounds of chanting. The message read yo bro, there's something wrong. There's a crowd of students near Nikita's classroom. I think there might be a fight going on. You might want to hurry over here. The message was from Adam. Joseph could hear the chanting clearly now, the students were chanting "Fight! Fight! Fight!"
