Peytons P.O.V
Driving home I found myself feeling surprisingly guilty about just leaving after all Liam had done for me and what he had said was only meant to be sweet but I overreacted. I guess there's not much I can do considering we didn't exchange numbers and I was already half way back to my apartment.
I needed to call Caleb and bless him out for leaving me like that last night and tell him to come over so we can talk about all that happened. I looked over to the seat beside me where my purse was... not. These past two days have been awful and I can only see it getting worse.
"Turn here. Thanks." I opened the door and darted to the door without paying, seeing as I left my purse at Liam's, hoping it won't come back to bite me in the ass. I heard the man yell something I couldn't make out but I was relived to see the cab drive off.
Liam's P.O.V
Peyton is so beautiful and really does deserve someone that treats her well, but maybe I came off a little too creepy for her liking. What did I expect? Her to stay and live happily ever after with me? I was a stranger that picked her up at a gas station; she didn't feel comfortable. But I wanted to make her feel safe.
Out of the corner of my eye I saw something shiny and black on the couch. Peyton's purse. I walked over and unzipped it and pulled out her wallet. I shuffled through old receipts, credit cards, cash; nothing useful. I heard a ring coming from the bathroom so I ran to see what is was and sure enough it was her phone and the caller ID said "Caleb" and a jolt of jealousy went through me but I knew there was no reason I should be jealous. I declined the call and went to maps so I could find out where she lived.
I have to see her.
This probably isn't the wisest thing I've ever done but I know it's going to be worth it.
