Kingdoms rise and some fall

So it began

A great kingdom, in a far away land, where soldiers and the good are made. People push to become rich. But in the castle on the fourth floor, stood a tall door. Behind it was a princess,  one who had been locked behind the door for years. The king put her in there because she was too smart, although he did want her to one day out smart him and take his throne from him. But another reason he was so worried about her was that she had the mark of xin and the prophecy says that a child with the mark of xin would one day come to over power him and take his throne.

One day, a royal army from the neiboring kingdom decide to assault the kingdom and claim it. During the assault the soldiers of the hostile kingdom found the princess, malnourished and small. They took her to their kingdom and aided her in restoring herself, as she began to heal, she began to understand why this kingdom held no purpose in the world. So she began to practice her strength in Hopes of one day joining the army.

Over time, she came to join the army, and she went to the kingdom of her parents, where she asked them why they did this to her. They began to tell her why, It was because a prophecy told him that she would take over the kingdom. OK was all she could manage to say before she had them locked away forever. As time passed by, she learned that she has a sister. A very young sister.

After learning of this, she sent out the royal army to find her. When the army had found where she was staying, they realized that she had been there in forever. The princess decided she would hunt for herself. Surely enough, she did. After 2 months of hunting, she found her sister in a kingdom on the outer layer of the land. Her sister did not believe it was her when she saw her, but when the princess showed her the mark of the xin, she understood. Over next couple of years the young princess joined the war council, spent time with her sister, and lived in the castle.
Surrounded by those who love her, and those who are loved by her.

10 years later-
The castle was dark, a bit chilled with the  exception of the fireplace burning in the corner of the room. All of a sudden, an explosion in the east of the castle. It shook the castle, and suddenly a group of royal guards came and awokened her from her slumber. Next thing she knew, she was hurdling down the hall with 6 royal guard behind her. Upon there arrival to the center of the castle, she saw that all others in the war council were there already. She asked them what was happening and they said the castle was under siege.

When that was said;
Another explosion came from the north wall of the castle. The council then asked the guards how much of the army was here. The guards responded with, only the royal guard. When the council heard that they knew they were in trouble. So they began preparing a plan. About 20 minutes later there was a deathly scream saying they were coming, then the noise was cut dead silent. The guards then braced the door and prepared for a fight.

As the guards fought, the war council prepared itself and came up with a stratagey. They would have to disband from the city, when suddenly a bright, almost white light, shined the horizon. It was the army of a neighboring kingdom. The Anracid kingdom fought off the hostile enemies and offered there aide. Reluctant at first, they finally said yes. With the aid of this kingdoms army, they took over the rest of the city that had been taken.

After the onslaught, the troops returned from there mission and the troops of Anracid returned home. They then returned an attack on the attackers. Late that night, they sieged the north wall and tore through it. As they fought their way to the gate of the castle, they were met by a barrage of arrows. The arrows were easily blocked by the spartan style shield tactic. Then they used a barrel of gunpowder to blow open the gates while the shields defended them from arrows. Out of nowhere, a loud boom came, suddenly they realized what it was. It was the catapult firing bombs at people. Right as the next bomb hit the door blew open. They rushed in where they then met several dozen swordsmen. The fight last an hour or so when finally the last one of them where killed.
