[the moment Jihoon wakes up]

Jihoon

My eyes shot open as I tried to process what just happened, it was a dream, wasn't it?

12:40am

I've only been asleep for ten minutes, but why did it feel like it was such s long time? My head was spinning all over the room, then something hit me... for some reason I had a memory of Sunhi, she was dead.

All I could remember was myself opening a letter with a newspaper, saying that Sunhi died. Expect that never happened, I searched my desk to find an envelope but there were only piles of papers and music sheets.

I was going to check the news but the door suddenly opened with Jeonghan holding his phone,

"S-Sunhi, she's in the hospital." Jeonghan told me, my eyes widened in disbelief. At that very moment I couldn't move as if I were frozen. "Aren't you going to visit her?!" He yelled at me, I suddenly snapped back to reality and blinked back any tears that were forming in my eye.

"Yeah, can you drive me?" I asked Jeonghan who nodded, I quickly grabbed my coat and dashed out of the studio with Jeonghan.

The car ride was a blur of me trying to figure out what was happening and hoping Sunhi was alright, once we reached the hospital, I followed Jeonghan.

It was weird, it's like he knew where Sunhi's room was. As we we reached her room, a blond haired nurse came out of the room with a clipboard. Her eyes met mine and she looked so familiar, but I couldn't lay my finger on it.

"Ah, you must be Park Sunhi's visitors."  The nurse said, even the way she talked was painfully familiar. "She's been awake for quite sometime now, I'm glad that the car crash didn't put her in a coma."

My bottom lip trembled,

"Car accident?" I quietly asked the nurse who simply nodded, Jeonghan and her exchanged worried looks before she cleared her throat.

"I'll give you some privacy." She said before she opened the door and signalled me to go inside, I slowly stepped in before she closed the door.

I saw Sunhi on the bed covered in a hospital gown, she had a faint smile on.

"Hey," she said, that's when I felt like I was going to cry any minute now. I ran up to her and gave her a tight hug, in return she gave me a hug back before wincing in pain.

"Sorry, but what happened?" I pulled back from the hug, she gave me a goofy smile before shrugging.

"Turns out, looking both ways before you cross the street is an important lesson." She said, I felt tears rolling down my cheeks before her smile soon faded at the sight of me crying.

"Sunhi! Y-You have to be more careful, you could've gotten seriously injured or worse, you... you could've-" I was cut off by a loud sob from Sunhi, she was crying harder than me.

"I'm sorry, I don't want to see you that stressed out." She sniffled wiping her cheeks with her palm, we were both a crying mess. I slowly got a hold of myself and so did Sunhi, who was looking down at her lap.

"Hey Jihoon?" Her voice was hoarse from crying,

"Hm?" I said, she looked up at me with a small smile.

"I love you," She said quietly and my heart beat sped up, like the day I first met her.

"I love you too," I replied back, I stared at her and she stared back at me and for a second her smile wavered and her eyes looked gloomy. Then I realized something, she probably remembered the other part with the letter... Sunhi noticed my expression almost immediately, because she said something to me.
