Chapter 9:Luke

Hi my name is Luke. I'm in 8th grade and I love my friends. I think I am currently in a relationship but it's weird. I don't understand it. There's twist and turns and trust issues. For example, someone else kissed him. Well a relationship without trust is like a phone without service. And what do you do with a phone with no service? You play games. Which is exactly what's happening right now. Me and my so called partner Shawn are playing games. I didn't tell Shawn that I was still mad at Arthur but I was. I think he thinks I'm over it... well I'm actually not. I can tell Arthur likes him. But he is obviously taken. What he doesn't understand. Tonight Arthur invited Shawn to the movies and Shawn accepted his invitation. Which makes me furious but I didn't want say anything. I'll just keep it to myself I thought. It was much later when I broke down in the bathroom stall quietly. With tears dripping down my cheeks for about 2 minutes I finally knew it was time to suck it up. "There just friends,There just friends." I kept saying to myself. I kept quite all day. I had nothing but one thing to think about. Shawn and Arthur. At lunch Arthur was bragging about how Shawn and himself would see a romantic cool movie. Apparently everyone wanted to see it. It was just then Arthur's bragging got to a minimum and I lost my temper and yelled "COOL CAUSE ME AND BYRCE ARE SEEING THE MOVE TOO!"Every one paused and looked at me especially Arthur. "Ohhhh you are?" Arthur said slowly. "YEP YEP." I processed to yell. Then Bryce said excitedly " YAY!" Arthur had a mad look on his face. With a big smile I said see you there? And Arthur said madly "Sure PAL." Then stormed to put up his tray. Shawn said "why is he all mad?" I acted like I didn't know at all. Obviously I did. When Arthur returned to the table he was quiet and he did not say a word. I smiled and proceeded to talk to Bryce and Shawn.

Soon it was the night of the movies. Arthur's mom picked us up and brought us there. We all looked really good that night to be honest. Since all the teens came to the mall on Friday after school we blended in. We ate food the went to the movies. Arthur asked "so we're are we sitting?" Oh I don't care I said. But I did. Now how the seating was arranged was that Shawn sat in between me and Arthur and Bryce sat on the other side with Arthur. I can say I was rather happy about the seating we were. an hour into the movie until I saw Arthur had his eyes locked on Shawn. I decided to ignore it. Then he was getting closer and closer to Shawn's face. Then I heard lips smack. Shawn backed up. His eyes widened and he whispered to him"Arthur what are you doing?!" Arthur had a huge smirk on his face. Then Shawn had to tell him "I-I'm in a relationship with someone...."
