Chapter 13-i love you....i love you not

The next day they woke up on each others arms but made no move to get away. "Good morning beautiful" Cam said yawning. Elizabeth smiled "Morning sexy" Cam smirked "I knew you couldn't resist this" he replied gesturing towards his fit body."I couldn't even if I wanted to" He smiled at her comment. She brushed a stand of hair out of his face and kissed his cheek. She sat down on the bed after that, deep in thought. "Are you ok love?" he asked concerned. She was silent for a minute debating whether or not she should tell him. Finally she decided to do it. "Cam where did you go?" He looked up at her in confusion. "What do you mean?" he asked. She sat up straighter. "Where did you go when we were in England?" her voice was pained. They both knew the answer, but neither wanted to say anything. Neither wanted to ruin what they had now but they couldn't help but remember what happened.

*Flashback*

January 18, 1886

Cam kissed her cheek. "I have bad news......" She looked up at him in adoration. "What is it?" she asked. He kissed the top of her head pulling her close to him not wanting to let go. He didnt want to tell her, he didnt want to leave. "I think you should sit down." With this said they walked inside, Elizabeth slightly concerned.

Once they were inside sitting on the couch, Cam started to explain. "I have to go." She looked at him disappointedly. "Oh, I thought we were going to Helston to see Daniel and Luce, but if you have to go, then go." It pained her to say this! but deep down she knew it was the right thing to do. "Elizabeth you know I don't want to go. But I have to, Roland needs me." She sighed, "I know." Elizabeth moved closer to Cam. "I feel so bad for him, the breakup must have been hard." Cam nodded. "He's been needing my help more often." Elizabeth nodded. "I know". A silence filled the room. Finally she decided to speak once more. "When are you going?" She asked worried it would be that day. Cam sighed putting a hand through his hair. "Tomorrow afternoon."

Elizabeth grinned. "Let's make the most of this!" Then she walked out of the room and towards the white blanket of snow outside. Cam followed pushing aside his guilt for a moment.

*end of flashback*

"You went to see Lilith." It wasn't a question or opinion, she was stating facts. Cam looked down at her guilt clear in his eyes. "Those weren't things I was proud of." He looked down at her. "Now I'm glad I'm with you" She smiled at him. "I'm glad too." Another silence filled the room, but this time it wasn't an awkward silence but a comfortable one. They sat there enjoying each others presence. Cam was the first to break it.

"I love you Elizabeth" He leaned in and kissed her "I love you too Cam." They kissed again, her hands in his hair and his hands on her small back. Minutes pasted and the kisses were becoming more passionate. They couldn't get enough of each other. They were in perfect bliss.

10 minutes have passed and they were still making out. There was a knock on the door but they chose to ignore it. Soon the knocking was getting louder and they were forced to stop. "What!" she yelled rudely at the person at the door. It was Daniel. "If I'm interrupting i'll just go" I shook my head, "What's wrong Daniel?" Cam came up behind me and said "Trouble in paradise?" She slapped him on the arm for that. "Shut up Cam." She turned back to Daniel. "Continue."

Daniel sighed and leaned against the door. "Luce can see announcers" His expression was a mix between confused and pained. "I think something is different this lifetime" Elizabeth went closer to him, or at least tried to but Cam pulled her closer to him. "I lost you once, I'm not letting go." Elizabeth blushed and gave him a quick kiss. "What are we going to do Daniel?" she asked turning her attention back to him. He shrugged. "That's what's wrong I don't know what to do." The room was silent, not even Cam cracked a joke. The fallen angels all understood the importance to their predicament. They all understood the dangers of Luce's final death that could be approaching very soon. "I have to go" Cam said abruptly. They looked at him weirdly but dismissed it going back to the problem.

Meanwhile Luce was walking towards the cemetery to meet up with Penn. "Luce" she heard someone call out. She didn't want to admit it but she hoped it was Daniel. Instead she was greeted by the handsome face of Cam. "Oh hi Cam" she said trying to hide her disappointment. Cam chooses to ignore it. "Hey can I talk to you?" he asked seriously. Luce nodes and they walked to the cemetery together. They reached the place where Cam took her on the picnic and stopped. "Cam I have something to say as well." He looked at her with shock, then realization took over. "Your going to dump me for Grigori?" His voice rose a bit and he didn't know why he felt a bit offended, I mean he had Elizabeth back and that's all that matters.

Luce nodded. "I love him." Cam laughed. Rage was taking over him, possessing him, turning him into a monster and he couldn't fight it. It would take over him soon. "And when did you come up with this, when he kissed you?" he mocked. Luce glared at Can but what she didn't know was that the transformation was complete and she wasn't talking to Cam, she was talking to a monster. "Did her kiss you like this" he asked her kissing her cheek. Luce shook her head. "Not even close" she spat backing away from him. But every time she took a step back, he took a step forwards until she was backed up against a tombstone. "Like this?" he asked again kissing closer to her lips.

"Go away Cam, Daniel is the one I love." She managed to say bravely. He moved closer to her face leaving almost no room between them. "Pretend I'm a solider and your giving me my dying wish." Luce looked skeptical. "Just one kiss" he convinced. "Just one kiss" she repeated.

Next she leaned in to kiss him the kiss. Their lips were inches apart. In a matter of seconds inches became centimeters and Cam tried to regain control of his body. All his efforts were futile. But suddenly he could break free, his way out was open. Then he was ripped apart from Luce and thrown onto the floor forcefully . "What's going on here?" he heard Gabbe say. Luce turned around and saw Daniel staring at her. Normally this would make her blush, but he was shaking his head clearly disappointed. Luce hung her head ashamed. Just then Gabbe started to beat Cam up. She punched, and kicked him over and over again. "When will you learn to stay out of other people's business." she said kicking him into the ground. He lifted his head up with the little strength he had to see Elizabeth standing there shaking her head, then walking away. For the first time in her life she walked away, instead of running.
