Amira pov

I sat on my bed with Lana in my lap while she slept. She's been up all day playing with Erika she didn't take her nap. I put her on my bed and got up walking out of the room. I walked out and bumped right into my mom.

"Why are you in such a hurry, honey?"

"No reason."

"Is Lana asleep?" I nodded. "Well it's almost dinner time. You're going to have to wake her up." I nodded and walked back into my room. So much for going to see Professor Carmen. No we aren't dating yet. But we've gotten to know each other a little. Basically the only thing she didn't know about me was Savanna. I couldn't tell her about her. It's too hard for me.

"Lannie, wake up. It's time to eat." She sat up quickly and I chuckled she's always hungry. She ran out of my room and I shook my head. I walk out of my room.

"Mom?" I called.

"Yes, honey."

"Can I go to Elena's?"

"What time will you be back?"

"I don't know probably late. Don't worry I'll eat over there I always do."

"Okay." I grabbed my phone and keys.

'I'm on my way over.'

'Okay I'll be ready.'

I walked in and she smiled.

"Are you hungry? Did you eat?"

"Yeah." I lied.

"Aww that sucks I made something for us to eat."

"If I knew you made food I wouldn't have eaten."

"It's okay. Did you finish your assignment?"

"No."

"Amira." She groaned. "I don't want this, you and I seeing each other stop you from doing your assignments or failing classes."

"It won't Alanna." I kissed her lips and turned on the television.

"You better do that assignment for class Amira."

"And if I don't?" she moved her lips to my ears.

"You'll get an F for the rest of the semester." She moved away but not without kissing my forehead. She got up.

"Why can't you let me get off on it? I'm seeing you doesn't at least get me something?"

"Because than I'll have to let everyone off on it. And yes you do get something special." I smiled and she walked back over to me. "You can have a kiss." She kissed my lips and I pouted.

"This is so unfair."

"Life isn't fair." I walked to the bathroom.

Alanna pov

Amira walked off to the bathroom something fell out of her pocket. I picked it up and it was a picture. It was her and two little girls she was smiling so happy. What happened? She was never like this whenever I saw her. When she would smile she would give me a half smile never this one.

"Why are you so quiet? What are you looking at?" I heard her say as she walked up. I turned to look at her. She visibly paled right in front of me when she saw the picture I was holding. "Where did you get that from?"

"It fell out of your pocket." She grabbed it from me.

"And you opened it?" she said clearly upset.

"Who is that?"

"No one."

"It doesn't look like no one. Not with the smile you have on your face."

"I don't have to tell you anything." She sneered.

"I'm sorry."

"I can't believe you would open someone's privacy."

"Amira I didn't know."

"I have to go." She grabbed her phone and car keys. She put on her boots she had.

"Amira, please don't leave."

"Goodbye professor Carmen." I cringed when she called me that for some reason. Maybe it was the way she said it. She walked out of the door and slammed it closed. I sighed that didn't go so well.

I tried calling her several times I texted her countless times. I was becoming worried. I dialed Adrianne.

"Alanna? What's up?"

"Have you seen Amira?"

"No. why?"

"We kind of had a misunderstanding. I found a picture of her and two little girls. I asked her who they were."

"You really shouldn't have done that, Alanna. She has a hard time with that."

"I didn't know Adrianne if I did I wouldn't have asked."

"Hold on someone at the door."

"Okay." I heard crying lots of it.

"Did you drive over here crying?"

'She made me remember, Adrianne. Why would she do something like that?'

"She didn't know, sweetie. I'll have to call you back."

"Okay." She hung up.
