Lillie's POV
Another Business trip. I am not excited. I don't even know why I even need to go! Why can't Paul just own the company himself? Why dose dad wants me to own the company too? I just don't understand why.
"Lillie, come down here!" I heard my dad yelled from downstairs
I walked out of my room and walked down the big staircase.
"Ok, did you pack everything you need to go to Australia for a year and a half?" Dad asked
My eyes widen.
"A year and a half! you said it was only for a couple months!" I screamed
"Well, change of plans." he smiled
Are you f ucking kidding me.
"Now, let's go. Our privet jet is waiting for us." Dad said with a smile.
We walked out the door to our house in California. Well, Paul and my house. Dad is never really here. He stays in New York City cause that's where his company is. He has an apartment there and a house here.
Drew opened the door car door for me. He nods his head and I smile.
When we made it to the airport we walked to the security and walked outside to our private jet.
I just realized that I only packed enough closes for a month not a year and a half!
"Daddy?" I asked trying to get his attention
"Yeah sweetie?" He asked
"I didn't pack enough clothes for a year and a half." I said
I never liked using my dad's money, but I am going to meet people and stuff like that. I want to make a good impression on them.
"Don't worry sweetheart, we'll go shopping when we get there." He smiled
"Ok. Thanks." I said back
I decide to sleep, even though my phone said 1pm that was just the California time. The Australia time will be different.
-
"Lillie, wake up." I heard a soft voice
I opened my eyes to see my brother smiling. I smiled back.
I grabbed my bags but my dad wouldn't let me. He made this guy do it. I felt bad for him. I would have argued but I knew it would be useless. When we walked in to the airport lodes of paparazzi flashed their cameras at us. I hate it. Dad didn't seem to give two s*hit about it. But Paul and I do.
We went in the car. With a driver inside. Dad gave him an address. The driver looked at the address. He looked surprised. He shouldn't be, if you know him well, you'll know why. He entered this neighborhood with huge houses, but not as big a ours in California. He stopped in frount of the biggest house there. I don't understand why dad have to rent a house. This is so stupid.
I grabbed my bags but dads security guard Bill grabbed before I can.
"You don't have to carry that for me." I said to Bill
"No, it's fine." He said
I gave up because I won't win against him either.
We walked in to the house. It was clean. My dad told me what room I was going to be in. I was next to Paul's room. I opened the door. The room was painted in a shade of a baby blue color. My fave!! I walked in there with my bags and put everything where I wanted them to be.
I heard a knock on the door. I turned around and saw my dad.
"Do you like the room?" He asked
"Yeah." I answered while looking around
"Good." He said
"Now, you don't have to go everywhere with me for five months. I am going to teach Paul everything he needs to know now, and I know you don't want to learn something you are not going to do for the company so I am not taking you with me." He said
Yes!! I mentally high five myself.
"Ok." I replied
"Ok, I am going to leave, with Paul. You can do what ever you want. But, Be safe." He warned.
"Ok." I said simply
"Also I left my Credit card on the kitchen counter, and the key to the house." He said
Then He walked out of my room and then I heard a car door closing. I looked out my window and saw my dads' car driving out the drive way.
I grabbed my phone, my purse, and a light jacket. I went down the stairs and grabbed the credit card and the key. I walked out the door, and locked it.
I took my phone out and sat down the the stairs in front of my house. I change the setting to Australia. I looked for the nearest cafe. It was 3.7 miles away. But, I don't have a car... So I need to walk. I made it to the cafe, it was in like a city.
I opened the door to the cafe and walked in. Fresh coffee smell filled my nose. I walked in to the line, I was next.
"What would you like mam." A boy asked that looked like he is seventeen years old.
"Umm, what is the best drink?" I asked
"Umm, the hand made berry soda." He smiled
"Ok, I will have a small berry soda." I smiled
"Be right up!" He said
He went and made a berry soda.
"That would me $3.77" he said
I opened my purse and took out my wallet and handed him a ten dollar bill.
He gave me my change and handed me the drink. I put the change in the tip box. The boy looked at me like I was crazy so did the woman behind me. But, hey.
I walked out of the cafe and took a sipe, it was good. I looked around and saw a store filled with DVDs and CDs. I went in there. I grabbed a couple movies and CDs. I went to the check out, and payed for them.
While I was walking to my house, some one ran in to me. Making me spilled my almost emptied berry soda on my shirt and making me drop my DVDs and CDs.
"Oh my god. I am so sorry!!" A guys said
"It's.. Fine." I said bending down to pick up the things I dropped
"No, I am really sorry, I didn't see you there." he said helping me pick up my stuff.
"It's fine." I said while he was handing me the things.
I grabbed them and started walking to the neighborhood.
"I'm Luke by the way." He yelled trying to get my attention while I was walking away
I turned around.
"Cool name." I said
