21. The Tension

After having a heart to heart talk with his best friends, Harry went back to his room, took a hot shower to relax his tensed muscles, changed into some new clothes and then lied beside his pumpkin. He cuddle her into his chest and she too, hugged her Dada tight. He fell asleep shortly, his conversation with Zayn tonight, still replaying in his subconcious mind.

Next morning he woke up first and then wake his baby girl up to get themselves ready for her school and his work place, which is, well, also a school.

He picked her up in his arms and went into the bathroom. He gently settled her onto her feet and started feeling the bathtub.

"Pumpkin, get ready for bath baby girl.", he said while pouring some soap in the tub to make bubbles, knowing Zayra loved bubble baths.

She quickly stripped off her clothes and then Harry placed her in the tub gently, he sit outside the tub, on the edge of it. They played for a while with splashing water at each other, Harry making her giggle by making silly faces,  she making her Dada a tall quiff with the bubbles. After sometimes, having finished with their bubble bath, he wrapped her up in a towel as well as himself with another one and they walked into his room. Zayra holding his pinky with her tiny hand.

He then got her ready in her school uniform and then got ready himself. Zayra played with his curls while he made her pigtails neatly. They went down the stairs, in the kitchen, where Gemma was already cooking some chocochip pancakes, Anne sipping a cup of coffee and Robin, her now husband, who was back from his business tour this morning, reading a newspaper. He greeted everyone a "good morning", earning ones from them as well and sat on the chair. They ate in a peaceful silence with Gemma giving Harry a "don't-worry-everything's-gonna-be-okay" smile, making him relax and Zayra's ocassional giggling whenver Gemma made funny faces at her.

Anne had taken a day off to have some bonding time with her husband which Harry and Gemma already knew. They both smiled at their parents and continued eating.

"Um, Harry Gemma?", Anne asked, making both of them look at her, encouraging her to continue.

"Um, Robin has decided to shop for a bit, then watch some movie and then we're gonna have dinner outside. Are you guys okay with it?", she asked, nervously making both of her children chuckle.

"Mom, we gonna be okay. Besides, I'm having a sleep over at Melanie's house so it'll be just Harry and pumpkin. I'm sure Harry can manage that, this will not be the first he gonna be alone with Zayra.", Gemma said.

"Yeah mum, we'll be okay. If anything, I can always call you guys.", he said, smiling.

"Of course you can baby boy", she said smiling, which made Harry whinning, and Zayra giggling.

"Mum, not in front of pumpkin", whinning, he said, and all of them at the table burst into laughter.

"Fine, laugh.", he pouted.

"Don't worry Son, Zayra knows you're her baby Dada", Robin said, making everyone laugh and Zayra giggle again.

"Robin", he gasped. "I thought you'd be in my team.", he faked hurt.
