I grabbed my bag and ran down the stairs.
" Hey sweetie!" Mom said handing me a plate with a waffle drowned in syrup on it.
"Hey mom! Thanks!" I said quickly gobbling my breakfast down.
" Hey slow down! You'll choke!" my older brother, Will said walking into the room.
" I gotta get to school." I said putting my plate in the sink.
" Bye guys, love you!" I said running out the door.
I stepped on the bus and sat next to my best friend, Vanessa.
" Hey girl!" I yelled
" Ugh what do you want?" she snapped
"DANG! What's up?!" I said
" I just broke up with John..." she muttered, tears filling up her eyes.
" Oh my gosh, Van. I'm so sorry!" I said giving her a hug.
" Yeah." she said beginning to cry.
" But guess what! Tomorrow's Saturday and we're gonna have a sleepover. I'm talking Netflix, Oreos, and pj's! How does that sound?" I said nudging her arm
" That sounds great. Sorry I was being such a jerk. Thanks for being there for me..." she sniffled putting her head on my shoulder.
" You're welcome! Now let's go!"
