It Was Embarrassing For Him

Those times we enjoyed, were definitely over with. I knew that you would do this to me. It was what you did to the last six girls you 'dated'. What were their names? Monday...Tuesday? Were they seriously just days of the week to you? I don't even know why I'm making such a big deal about it. It's not like he cared about me anyways.

It was really time for me to become the bad one. I wanted to hurt him just as bad as he hurt me.

No.

It was going to be more than that. He would never toy with another girl again.

I'm sure of it!

~~Few days later~~

I was almost sure!

Turns out, he takes being hurt like he dumps girls. I think I embarrassed myself more than I embarrassed him. Or at least, that's what it felt like.

You're probably wondering how it all happened.

This is the basic story of it.

"I'll make it a cherry-berry milkshake. Make it a large too." I ordered. Before I started my evil little plan, I thought I shouldn't do it on an empty stomach. I met my best friend at our usual place, the booth's corner of the Milkshake Emporium. I never really got the name, but I thought it sounded cool.

"Did you want the cherries on top too?" The cashier asked with a small, but elegant smile.

"Dennis." I paused. "You know the usual."

Obviously, the cashier's name was Dennis. He's been a friend of mine since before I can remember.

I've had a huge crush on him too. It's faded a little bit over the past few years, but I still blush now and then.

He just had his way of making me feel good.

"Mel, you're a customer. I have to ask." He chuckled. "Plus, I've already been yelled at for the same thing."

I laughed until I realized it wasn't that funny.

"Nice one Dennis." I said to avoid being embarrassed.

He turned around to get my milkshake.

Grace, the friend I met here tapped me on the shoulder. "Our usual spot?" she asked.

"Of course." I replied. She skipped over there and sat in our booth.

"Here you are Mel. Enjoy." Dennis smiled again.

"Thanks Dennis. Here, take this." I handed him five more dollars. "I know you're saving up for a trip to Japan. I want to help." He gave me a shy smile, and I went to sit down.

"Are you crazy?" Grace complained. "Mel, don't get back at him for breaking your heart. You're better than that."

"I need to do it Grace. He needs to get what he deserves."

"Just don't do that." Grace said quietly. "It's not right for him to be humiliated. He's dumped girls since he was very young. It doesn't phase him anymore. Seriously Mel. You need to move on."

"I'm over him already Grace. I can live without doing this, but I really want to. I need to. He deserves it."

"Melrose. If you do this, I'm not going to help you at all. You're putting yourself in a bad situation, and you'll dig yourself deeper if you do this plan. Find another guy. Get over him. He isn't worth your time."

Just then. He came in. That handsome face, and elegant body melted me. Why did I ever like him anyways? I thought it was just him until I see a girl with long brown hair came in with him. She looks worse than I do. How could he sink so low? I was the best thing for him. Whatever is all I can say now.

"Mel!" He said, and ran towards me. "That's my new girlfriend, Rylie."

"And why should I care?" I asked.

"I never said you should care. Just trying to be friendly. We can be friends, right?"

"No, she won't be friends with you. You broke her heart you asshole. Why should she be friends with you?" Grace stepped in.

Demetri just smirked and walked away. "Get the asshole." Grace finally said.

"Thank you Grace. You finally understand." I said, and I got up from my seat. I started walking to Demetri's table.

Something took over me. I felt raged, and hurt, and so many other things. I just wanted to make his girlfriends jealous. I wanted to keep him away from her. I just wanted him.

"Tell me Demetri. How did you guys meet?" I said when I got to his table.

"Oh, my mom is friends with her dad. I thought she was cute. So I thought I should take her before someone else did. I love her."

"When did you meet her?"

"Last week. Why are you asking me all these questions? It's not like you care anyways."

"No. I did care. You told me the exact same things when you dated me. You broke up with me two days later. After you took my virginity. Is she still a virgin, or did you take that too?" Demetri got up and looked straight in my eyes.

"I don't understand why you're making a big deal about this." He whispered. "Yes, I did take your virginity, but god dammit Mel. Get over the fact that I don't love you anymore."

"You never loved me."
