~*Alexandria's P. O. V*~
I laid in my bed with my legs hanging off one side, staring at the ceiling, thinking. It had been a few days since prom. Sam has been acting so strange since, I really wonder what's gotten into him. Even when he was taking me home, he hardly spoke.
*FLASHBACK*
I had finally got my whole dress in the car when Sam got in on the driver's side and took a seat.
"This dress is so hard to get in the car," I laughed.
He rose his eyebrows and sighed before starting the car and backing out of the parking space. So much tension was in his jaguar, did I do something?
"Sam, are you okay?"
"Fine."
His answer was cold and harsh, it actually hurt a little knowing it came from Sam.
"You sure?"
"Yep," he said, his voice clearly showing in was a lie.
The whole ride to my house was uncomfortably silent. He finally pulled up and stopped.
"Thank you for taking me, I had a great time," I said as I turned to look at him.
"Yeah, no problem."
I kissed his cheek and said,"I love you."
He just nodded. What the hell? I got out of the car and shut the door right as he quickly sped off.
"Why was he acting like this?" I thought as I approached the door.
I stepped into the house, locked the door and went up to my room. Once inside, I immediately began to cry. What was wrong with Sam? It was clearly something. Maybe his parents divorce is still getting to him. I pulled off my dress and took off my shoes, replacing them with a big tee shirt and shorts. I crawled into my bed and sobbed into my pillow. What could be wrong with Sam?
*END OF FLASHBACK*
I sighed right as my phone buzzed next to me. I picked it up and read the screen. It was a text from Sam.
~*Chris' P. O. V*~
I was sitting at my desk with a notebook and a pen, trying to write a new song while Bleeding Through flared from my speakers. I couldn't think of anything to write which really surprised me because I usually don't have this issue. I groaned in irritation as my phone began playing Saturday Night by the Misfits, letting me know Alex was calling. I made that her ringtone after she and I danced to that song in my room. I accepted her call and answered,"Hey Alex."
"C-Chris," she sobbed.
I was instantly concerned.
"Alexandria, what's wrong? Why are you crying?"
"C-can you p-please come o-over?"
"I'll be there in ten," I said then ended the call.
I hurried down the stairs to the front door.
"I'm heading over to Alex's," I called out for someone to hear as I grabbed my car keys.
"Okay," my brother yelled back.
Quickly, I walked out the door, down the driveway to my car parked in the street. I got in, started the engine and took off.
I pounded on Alex's door a few times until it slowly creaked open a bit. Behind the slight crack was Alex. Her eyes were blood shot, her entire face was bright red and tears stained her cheeks.
"Alex, what's wrong?" I asked.
She fully opened the door and put her arms around me. I hugged her close to me as she cried against my shirt.
