Alison June was out today, she was in the park, enjoying the calm, sunny day. Today was a Saturday. Saturdays usually meant parties in college life. She sat down on an old, weathered bench, the varnish was peeling, and the black metal was anything but shiny, and it looked like if more than two people sat on it, it might collapse. She swung her long legs up onto the bench, selfishly taking up the whole bench. From here, she watched life. Alison June loved watching people live their lives, not in a creepy way, in a way that made her jealous, she wanted more of a life than a college student who struggled to make bills. She sighed, and glanced over at the playground, a small child who had brown curls, and bright eyes was going down the slide. The world seemed to go in slow motion for the child, a smile that made the sun look like a candle.
Eventually, the college student picked her book bag up, and slowly walked home, checking her phone for anything party related. There was, a party at Rylan's place tonight, at about 8.
She took the steps to her shared apartment two at a time, it was about 3 right now, and she had lots of time, but she wanted to shower, eat and then get ready. She let herself in, still seeing no sign of Tara, which was slightly odd, but she brushed it off. The girl was a strange one, alright, but she Alison June loved her, she was her best friend, even if she did have to stay up late sometimes, in case she forgot her keys while on a date..
By 7:30 Alison June was dressed in a black dress, with her normal vans. She tripped over flat surfaces, and you would never find her in heels unless she had a death wish. She walked to the cupboard, reaching in towards the back, and grabbed her emergency mickey of whiskey. She slipped it into her purse and was off, she had called a friend to pick her up, she texted Tera to let her know where she was, and what she would be doing that night.
At 8:21 pm they arrived at Rylan's place, music was already playing, people were already drinking, nobody was (luckily) drunk yet. She slipped into the kitchen, grabbing the first soda she found, spiking it with a good amount of alcohol.

That night was full of of fuzzy memories, regrets, and everything in between. There was a few spots where she couldn't remember what had happened, and a few things that she wished the didn't remember. But at around 11:30 sunday morning she woke up. Her head was pounding, and it felt fuzzy. She pulled the blankets over her head, trying to block the sun out, as light made her head hurt even more. She tried to go back to sleep, trying to block everything out, to hide away just a little longer.
Eventually, she pulled herself out of bed. Not wanting to do anything today, Alison June brought herself, and her bedding to the couch, laid down, and reached for the remote. It was just out of reach, and she had to almost roll off of the couch to grab it. Today was going to be a boring day, just her, and the remote, and maybe some greasy food later, and the TV.
Tera walked into the room. "Good afternoon, sleepy head!" She said, extra cheerily.
Alison June replied with a groggy "Mmmmmm", not wanting to actually speak. She pulled her blankets over her head, blocking out Tera. She didn't wanna move, or talk, or even open her eyes. It wasn't until she smelt food cooking, that she moved, or spoke. And even then, the speaking was minimum, and the moving even less. "one for me too please Tera?"
A little bit later, both women were sitting on the floor, eating breakfast, criss cross applesauce style, like they were little kids again. Breakfast consisted of chocolate chip pancakes, with a healthy drizzling of syrup, the inexpensive pure sugar kind, and an egg each, Tera's yolks were a little on the harder side, while Alison June's were runny, just the way that the two liked them. There wasn't very much conversation, just both watching a pointless reality TV show, one they both acted like they hated but secretly liked them, one of those guilty pleasure TV shows.
