Mike POV
After some long weeks of having way too many tests and a lot of explaining to teachers as to why I suddenly became a boy overnight, a blessing came apon us called "Christmas break".
And boy do I love it.
No more school or homework or getting up at early hours or having to go to bed early. This time you can just sleep in and don't have to worry about getting your homework in on time and going to bed late. These are one of the many reasons I love vacations and stuff like that.
And this break/vacation/whatever you want to call it, just gets better seeing as it's Christmas. Which means a lot of things. Hot choco, a lot of food, warmth and hopefully snow and ice skating. Pair skating is pretty cute now that I think of it. (YOI tho)
The day had been going good so far. I had slept in, went for a shower and went back into my room. I had told my parents a couple days ago about what happened, even tho it's hard to explain since I don't know why that would happen either. But I have grown pretty much used to it and won't mind spending the rest of my life like this. My parents had been really confused at first but I think they have slowly started to accept that they have to deal with it for now.
Changing in some clothes, I took my phone and went downstairs, meeting my family in the living room. I sat down on the couch and took my phone, deciding to text Jlee a good morning. This is a great morning start.
(Italics is Jlee and bold is Mike ;) )
-You know, you should come over today. I have nothing planned and I'll be bored as hell. Take your skates with you just in case. And a sleeping bag. And warm clothes.
-Shall I just take my fridge with me too?
-Well I won't object against that.
-Oh wow. Such humor. Anywhore, sure I'll be over.
-Good, I'll make sure there's hot choco ;)
-Yeah you better.
It was a bit later in the afternoon when the doorbell rang and a very cold looking Jlee stood in front of the door. "It's cold." She spoke as I held the door open for her to walk in. "No shit. I can make you warm with hot chocolatemilk. And with something else but lets keep that down for now shall we." I winked while closing the door. A glare was sent my way with a hint of blush on her cheeks. I just chuckled and tugged her into the kitchen to get the choco and race back up the stairs. That's safer and nicer and more private y'know.
Once there I wrapped us up in blankets while pushing her back against my chest, making myself a chair while being hugged around by blankets. "Now this is what I call a good winter start, bub." I spoke, sipping the hot choco. And yes as the idiot I am I burned my tongue. (Welcome to real life stories with the idiot author who forgot the choco was still hot. Yes.)
"Agreed. Better then being outside. The only good thing about being outside in the winter would be snow and ice skating. But I don't know where the snow is at." She sighed, sipping on the hot drink. I shrugged slightly and took some more sips as we just enjoyed the warmth and peace.
Once finished I put my mug down and wrapped my arms around her middle, laying my chin on top of her head. I slowly started tracing figures on her sides and tummy, furthermore enjoying the peace and quiet in my room. "It should start freezing soon too. For tomorrow we could go to a skating rink." I muttered, glancing down at her. I felt her nod underneath my chin. "Sounds good with me." She replied, taking the last gulp of her hot choco. I smiled down at her slightly, slowly adverting my gaze towards the window of my room. A bigger smile crept on my face as I saw what fell down from the sky.
Snow.
"Hey bub? Look at the window." I whispered behind her ear as I had leaned down. A small hum came from her as she turned her head to look at the window. Gasping, she jumped up and went over to the window to gaze at the snow falling down. I smiled at her and slowly stood up, standing next to her. "Does this make winter complete?" I chuckled, watching the snow. I saw her nod out of the corner of her eye. "Yes. If it would start freezing so we could skate out there on the lake that would be really good. But for now this snow and an ice skating rink tomorrow sounds good too." She giggled, still looking at the snow. I smiled and nodded.
"We should go outside!" She broke the peaceful snow gazing while tugging on my wrist, sprinting down the stairs with me. I let out a small chuckle as we finished getting snug and warm in our jackets, gloves, scarves and went into the outside world.
Yepp, definitely a good start of Christmas and winter.
A/N
Oh hey look who has updated for once.
Hiiiiiiii :3
So, like I said in the A/N before this chapter, I had no inspiration and had no motivation to update and all that shizzle.
But I listened to some songs and seeing as it's snowy outside over here and just icy on the streets af, why not make this chapter winter and Christmas related. Even tho Christmas was a couple weeks ago. Same as new years eve. I hope everyone was safe during it and had a good start of the year :)
Also I'd really like to thank everyone for over 200 reads like...I never thought this book would get that far. Thank you❤
