As Becca rounded the corner, she was greeted with the sight of her mother's car.
"She's home already... ugh." Becca sighed and carefully walked through the front door, hoping not to get caught. Too bad her mother, Katlyn, was waiting for her, ready to scold her at any second.
"Where have you been?! I've been worried sick thinking about you and your brother wandering out there alone!" Katlyn was stuttering on her words, asking too many questions at a time.
"Where were you, how could you leave like that, were you hanging out with that gang of yours?!" Becca rolled her eyes and started towards her room.
"I'm fine Mom, I wasn't hanging out with that "gang" of mine. I just went out to eat."
"And where is your brother?" Katlyn asked, frantically looking around for Jonathan.
"I dunno." Becca shrugged. Suddenly the phone started ringing, its high pitched shrill rang through the house. Katlyn reached for the phone answering to the person on the other side.
"Yes, this is Katlyn. The old cottage? Ok I'll be right there." She slammed the phone down and stared at Becca.
"What did you do?"
