The life of a vampire isn't exactly easy, it's filled with violently strong emotions that overwhelm us, consumes us. It has endless possibilities and equal chances of happiness or sadness.
A Phoenix's existents is even more difficult but when it gets too difficult and the pain boils up from the pit of your stomach into a constricting grasp around your heart you can let it all go and start anew. Just remember when the smoke rises the ashes. must. fall.

Darkness engulfed the world, it swallowed up everything mercilessly like a roaring beast. Not many things scared me but I was damn near close to shitting my pants when it hit the car.We rocked back and forth Dean tried desperately to drive but we were stuck then in an instant I blink and he's gone.
"Dean!" I shriek looking to Sam for an explanation but he had passed out and there I was awestruck, unable to move, unable to solve anything and all my mind went to was him....
No burry it he's better off without me anyway...
But he loved me...I shook my head, to think of what could have been, to think I wanted to marry him and be with him for the rest of my life what a childish fantasy. No matter I needed to think of what was happening now, I cushioned Sam's head from further damage by putting my jacket between him and the glass. As I was leaned forward I looked out the windshield thinking I saw someone a woman? With Dean? Then nothing.

(New Orleans) {Summer}
Walking down the crowded street the sounds of the city were a welcomed distraction; cars, vendors, buyers, music it was all a cluttered mess of sweet bliss. I rounded the corner on my way to a bar close to the quarter, I was so unbelievably excited to see the Mikaelsons I couldn't stand it.Dean and Sam were a few towns over on a case for, obvious reasons, hunting a nest of the lesser kindred of vampire. I never liked those hunts of course but it's not like I knew any of those vampires, I don't usually associate with them much like how certain wolf packs don't quarrel, just not my kind of people. I sit at the end of the bar ordering a glass of bourbon smelling the stink of vampires and tourists alike taking out my phone I look to see if Kai had sent me anything and am disappointed to see the same message there, "miss you already :("
"Hey good looking just roll into town?"
A fledgling asks with a sly grin, I turn to look at him:
Well he isn't ugly but he's obviously trying to show off to his pool pals, I bet he doesn't even know I'm a vampire.
I smile up at him and flick some hair out of my face, "Yes, and I would love it if you could help me out a little." His grin grows wider as his friends send out a chorus of wolf whistles. I bat my eyes and grab the slime ball by the throat pulling him forward as he groans in pain his patrons immediately grow silent, "Tell me.where can I find Klaus at this hour?"I step into the courtyard completely in awe, it was beautiful, secluded yet bustling with a life all its own. "Elijah? Klaus?" The hairs on the back of my neck stood up as I smelt cologne behind me. "Such a beauty as always yet I can't quite figure if you're brave or ignorant for trespassing." Klaus's accent rolling off his tongue like a silver dagger, fascinating yet dangerous. I spin with a smirk, "Now Klaus, is that anyway to treat a guest?" He smiles back taking my hand and kissing the back of it. "The Mystic Falls residents explained your loss."
"I'd like not to dwell on it, and I know you're not much for consolation."
"You're right which is why Elijah will help where that is concerned, I however, will try and show you a good time." His smile brings me some comfort as we continue deeper into the maze of rooms and corridors. We arrive at a room with a lovely sitting area and split level bedroom with French doors separating the two revealing the extremely plush looking queen bed and side tables on either side. "This is your suite stay here as long as you like or until I say get out." He says with only half a tone of humor I gave a small smile then laid my suit case down on the bed. I walked out onto the balcony that was off the main sitting room and watched the vendors and people passing below, a girl could do a lot of dangerous deep thinking up here.
Klaus lingered in the doorway as if asking permission to come in, guess some habits die hard considering this is his house. I turned to give him a smile, "So how's it feel to be the king of the castle again?"
"Empowering. The city belongs to me and anyone who tries to take it from me will be faced with a world of agonizing pain." He proclaims proudly slightly puffing up his chest, reminded me of Kai in that since and I couldn't help smiling. "Oh, I almost forgot you're a lover of art, how would you like to attend my art showcase tonight?"
"Love to, I'll look for something to wear and that'll at least give me something to do today" I say with a chuckle. "And where is the beautiful Hope? I'm dying to see if she has your eyes." He gave me a smirk but his eyes clearly showed signs of sympathy. "She's in the other room with my sister and the answer is no she has her mothers I think. I have other business to tend to I trust you can figure out the way by yourself."I walk toward the sounds of light laughter and open the door to see a woman sitting on a blanket playing with the small child. "Oh I was expecting Rebekah...who are you?" She looks up with beautiful bright eyes and gives a gentle smile, "You must be Melody, my brothers spoke fondly of you."
"Really? I would've thought they wouldn't bother mentioning me."
"Well they thought it best to warm me so I wouldn't attack, I am Freya their long lost sister, Rebekah is not with us." I raised my eyebrows in confusion but before I could question Elijah walked in, he looked to Hope and Freya then me. "Melody glad you could join us." He walked over and gave a hug. "My condolences, do you know how long you will be staying with us?"
"Well my hunter buddies will probably call within a week or two so it won't be incredibly long."
"Well we are glad to host you, perhaps you can make our lives seem a little less chaotic."He turns to Freya then. "And thank you for all of your care."
"Tomorrow's the full moon, I can help you take Hope to Hayley if you like."
"That won't be necessary. You deserve a night off." He kneels in front of the baby and I quietly sit back in one of the couches as Klaus walks in. "I'd offer to accompany you myself but I fear my fragile ego couldn't endure the litany of insults Hayley has no doubt prepared." And just like that Elijah is back on his feet with an air of guard against Klaus
"Yes I doubt your presence is particularly welcomed anyway."
"My own brother greeting me with such distain, what do you think Freya, is he still angry for my part in Hayley's curse?" He asks rhetorically as Freya looks at him with a calm annoyed expression. "Need I remind him it was my ploy that kept Hayley alive." Elijah turns and Klaus knows he's gotten a rise out of him by the mischievous smile forming "yes of course, forgive me so you would call this an act of heroism even as you bask in her torment." Elijah says with silver on his tongue and a sense of rage behind his eyes. As he brushed past Klaus, Klaus had to have the last word though of course. "Perhaps I would be more sympathetic if Hayley apologized after all it was her who tried to run off with my daughter." I gave a look of oh shit as Freya stood to come between the two."Oh if you two must poke at each other I suggest doing it elsewhere." As she looks to the infant. Elijah's eyes flick over to Hope and his strong presence seems to calm, he turned without another word and I waited to see if I should follow. "Nicely done, at this rate you'll drive the entire family away." Freya says walking off in the opposite direction leaving me Klaus and the baby. "Well that was confusing." I say trying to lighten the mood. "Yes my brother and I aren't on such good terms as he may have led on in previous conversation but no matter we shall have a lovely evening." He says picking up the baby and cradling her in his arms as he too leaves me by the bar.
