AXEL
I dragged my feet into the school building lazily. Last night, I had too much to drink that I got hungover and woke up late for school.
Oh, don't worry. This stuff happens a lot.
Trying to sneak past the security guard and failing, then attending detention class for four hours after school became a weekly routine.
"Mr Greyson! Late again! What do you have to say this time?" the gruff, booming voice of the guard rang in my ears.
"I was out last night. Drinking and shit. You know, the usual. Also, my homie, Jack Daniels are great. I had five bottles yesterday. You should try it out sometime."
"Listen, Mr Greyson. I don't drink. And you might want to prepare yourself some Jack Daniels to last you for five hours while you're in detention."
"My, my. Jim, my man. No need to be so nice to me. Anyway, what's with the five hours? It's usually four," I shoulder bumped the security guard.
"I warned you last week," he said and wrote some stuff down on a slip of paper. "Pass this to your teacher."
I groaned and reluctantly took the slip. I hate school. And life. And school life.

"Bruh... you were late again! Math today was fun!" Everett jumped up and whacked me on the back of my head.
Rolling my eyes, I pushed him aside and muttered, "Nerd."
"I heard that!" he laughed as he came back to my side. "Right, I almost forgot. So how was last night's party at Colton's?"
"Man, it was lit! They had flamethrowers and I almost got roasted alive!"
"No way! That shit is legal?!" Everett yelled.
"Of course not!" I pushed my best friend's head down. "Shut the f*ck up about it!"
"Sorry man," he grinned.
We were heading to the canteen for lunch, and as usual, it was hella crowded.
"Move it, jackass!" I shouted into some geek's face.
"Sir, the queue starts from behind me," he replied shyly.
"NO!" I demanded. "The queue starts in front of you, now MOVE IT!"
The geek, too afraid to argue, stepped aside and Everett and I took his place.
A pretty cute girl was in front of us, so I nudged Everett and told him to do something.
He leaned forward and whispered softly in the girl's ear. She turned around, blushed and let the both of us take her spot.
I snickered. "What did you tell her?"
"Stuff so dirty, you don't wanna know."
"She doesn't look like someone who would go for something dirty."
"Well, what do you know?" Everett ran his fingers through his hair. "Maybe I'm just irresistable."
"You mean delusional," I rolled my eyes and stepped forward to order my food.
After buying a burger, I walked over to the jock table to acknowledge my rugby team. "Sup, fellas!"
"Hey man, how's it going?" Preston slapped my back.
"It's cool. Banged two girls last night and downed five bottles of Jack Daniels."
"Explains why you're late," he grinned.
