Everyone thinks that girls can't keep up with boys. When someone tells that to my face, I respond with my usual punch to the gut, and while they are crouching down to my level or lower (because I'm short af) I say, "Well, guess the only girl who practices with the Karasuno Boys Volleyball Team can't keep up with the boys." Thus, leaving them awestruck and in pain.
Enough about putting others at my level rather than me jumping/step-stooling/them crouching down to look at me.
Hi! I'm a second year at Karasuno High School, and am on the Girl's Volleyball Team. Most people overlook us ever since both boys and girls' teams were deemed "the flightless crows." Ugh how I hate that name, but we girls haven't been doing too badly. We made it to quarter-finals for the Girls Volleyball Spring Tournament, and will be going up against three other schools soon, but at the moment, we are on break. This is because the Boys Volleyball Spring Tournament comes before ours. I don't mind though, cuz it means more time for me to hang out and practice with the boys team!
Oh yea, did I mention that I am the only girl who plays and practices with the boys team?
To be honest, I've always seen the boys team as more of a family than I ever did my own team. I guess it's because I love the challenge they give me. Not saying that my team is bad, it's just that they aren't as fun to play with as the boys are. Especially, hitting my wicked serves into that smug Tsukishima's face. Although I'd love to call myself the ace, I'm not. It's just that I've been sorta naturally good at all volleyball positions. What I do excel at though is, being the one who never lets a ball drop, the one who backs the entire team up, the libero.
I guess you could say I was sorta like Nishinoya~Kun, but I hate to say it...
shorter
Does it bother me? No. It just means I'm a few inches shorter to receiving a ball perfectly. Like pfffttt... they think Asahi hits hard?! He can never get one past me. Hinata and Kageyama's quick?! Those are more like "here take this ball that will come to you if you squat low enough."
I may be a girl, but I love these dorks. They're like my weird brothers who think any other guys who come up to me are a threat. {Although, I could probably take that guy on} They are my great family, especially Kiyoko~San and Yachi~San, who could literally be my sisters. Yachi~San is always shuddering at whenever a ball comes to me, and Kiyoko~Senpai is always looking for my help to keep those boys in order.
Some days though, I wish I was able to actually play on their team. Not as someone who practices with them, but as a real teammate.
SCREW ALL THAT SAPPY STUFF THOUGH. AND GET OUT OF YOUR THOUGHTS YOU'RE PRACTICALLY BORING ME TO SLEEP. WAKE UP!
"(y/n)~chan. Hello?"
I groggily opened my eyes.
Ughhhhh... I'll get up in like five more minutes. Lemme go back to sleeeeeeeep...
"Guys! I think she's coming to!"
I shot up and looked around me. Ok, the gym. Dadchi over with Sugamama, Kageyama calling Hinata a dumbass for... whatever it is this time, Asahi quivering in fear and Tanaka saying that I was alright?, and Tsuki and Yamaguchi just talking. And..... Ah Nishinoya calling Coach Ukai.
"What happened?! Why is everyone crowded around me? I swear someone better start talking before I actually punch answers out of you. Minus Kiyoko~Senpai!" I shouted.
"(y/n). You just fainted then got hit in the head from Hinata and Kageyama's quick. I know you have questions but first we need you to get checked on by the nurse. Kiyoko or Hitoka can either of you take (l/n) to the nurses' office?" Coach Ukai told me.
