Issa POV

I put my head in the palms of my hands. "She can't be my kid, Miana," I spoke. "ain't no way. Mimi rolled her eyes. "Look here, Issa. This little girl is your daughter whether you wanna believe me or not. Nothing is gonna change that."
In case you're wondering, Mimi is a girl I used to have relations with. The reason why we ended things is because she wasn't ready to commit, and I was. She was still wanting to talk to other dudes, but I wanted someone who I knew was gonna be permanent. Now, she's suddenly claiming that her daughter is mine, but I don't know who or what to believe.
"How do you know she's mine? Cause I heard you were fooling around with two guys from Riverview. You sure she's not one of theirs?" She scoffed. Hey, I had to take it there. She's always planting some bullshit on me. Not this time. "I made Josh take a paternity test, which came back negative, and Darren won't speak to me. You're the only one left, Issa." I sighed. She could be right, but this Darren guy could still be her father.
"Fine, I'll take it."

Zonnique POV

"You're the only one left, Issa." She said. "Fine, I'll take it."
And to think I was falling for this dude. He's out here planting his little wild oats everywhere. I came out of the stall and saw Issa and Miana's faces turn from upset to shocked. I lightly chuckled and walked towards the sinks. Issa came up to me.
"Zonnique, let me explain." "Explain what? There's nothing to explain to me. Look, if you've got a kid, that's fine. There's nothing I can do. We barely know each other. Just handle your business, and I'll be on my way." I dried my hands and walked out of the bathroom. I was really beginning to like the guy, Just a smidgen. But I can't be with someone who even potentially has a kid.
