Chapter 29

Kendall's POV

I woke up with Katie in my arms. Since when did I fall asleep? Memories started to appear to my brain from a couple of hours ago. We must have been so drained out we went to sleep.

"So your finally awake." I heard mom walked into the living room.

"Yeah - today's been a stressful day. Let me take Katie to my bedroom." I replied back, slowly getting of the couch with Katie in my arms.

I walked up the stairs to my bedroom and layer Katie in my bed. She looked so peaceful when she is asleep. I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket. I clicked on the answer button

Logan: You finally answered

Kendall: Sorry, me and Katie were having a one-to-one chat then we went to sleep.

Logan: Did she open up to you?

Kendall: Yeah, she did

Logan: That's great! We got bad news though

Kendall: Which is?

Logan: A rumour has started about Katie, that she did something with James.

Kendall: WHAT?!?!?! Who is sick in their minds to make a rumour like that?

Logan: Jessie is.

Kendall: I swear if I wasn't a guy I would have broken every single bone in her body

Logan: I know you would Ken, we all would. What if Katie finds out about this rumour?

Kendall: it would ruin her mood from bad to worst. I don't want her to do it again

Logan: Shall we talked to her about it?

Kendall: She sleeping at the moment but come over and when she wakes up we can.

Logan: I'll be there in five.

I watched Katie while she slept. Knowing when she hears this rumour it's going to break her.

"Ken what would you like- what's wrong?" Mom said, entering my room

"I've just got a lot on my mind." I sighed

"Like what?" Mom asked

"Just Katie really. I'm just worried about her."

"We all are hunny, we all are." Mom came over and hugged me, we stayed in this position for a few moments. Mom gives out the best hugs, they are filled with love and comfort

We heard the door open and closed

"It's just Logan Mom." I said

She nodded her head and left the room. Logan came in a few seconds later.

"Wow bro, you look stressed out." Logan admitted

"It's because I am." I replied

We heard some mumbling and we saw Katie move in her sleep.

"Don't leave, please don't leave." She said

"Is she sleep talking?" I asked Logan

"Yeah, it sounds like she having a nightmare also."

We walked over to my bed and I lightly shook Katie.

"Katie, wake up baby." I said

Her head shot up and she looked very pale.

"Kendall?" She crocked out

"I'm right here." I said

"I don't feel so good." She said, running out to the bathroom. Me and Logan trailed behind her, she started being sick over the toilet bowl while I held her hair back and Logan rubbed circles on her back. After she was done she went and brushed her teeth.

"Sorry." She looked down

"It's not your fault you were sick." I said

"We need to check her temperature." Logan said

I carried Katie downstairs to the kitchen and sat her on the table while me and Logan looked for the thermometer.

"Mom where's the thermometer?" I shouted

Mom ran into the kitchen.

"In the cabinet where Logan is standing. Who's ill?" Mom asked

"Katie - she woke up and started puking up." Logan replied

Logan found the thermometer and Katie opened her mouth and Logan put the tip of the thermometer into her mouth. We waited a couple of seconds until Logan took it out. 100.4 F

"She has a fever." Logan said.

"Katie I want you to go upstairs to your bedroom and lay down." Mom said

"Can't she stay in my room? I want to look after her too." I asked

"Ken I can't have both of you sick."

I sighed and carried Katie to her bedroom. I got a wet rag from Logan and placed it on her forehead.

"Thanks guys." She whispered

"It's okay baby. You get some rest and I'll see you tomorrow." I said. Me and Logan left her room.

"When shall we tell her?" Logan asked

"When she gets better as she won't be going to school for a couple of days."

Logan nodded his head.

"I'll see you at school. I've got to go. Bye." Logan said , leaving the house.
