I opened my eyes and turned over to see an empty hay pile. I stood up and stretched my tail flicking behind me. Yes I'm in a Khajiit trader caravan and have a tail-it's blue black like my hair-but I'm not a Khajiit I'm a well kinda person. My dad was a dragon and had me with my mother who was a Khajiit. Her name was Lilly. I got my fathers appearance, tall, slender, ghostly pale, long dark hair, dark blue eyes, big grey wings that I keep folded under my armor, and pointed ears like elf ears but I got a tail from my mother. I lived with Ahkari's caravan and was closest with Kharjo one of Ahkari's guards. I slipped on a new tunic and leggings then my leather chest plate and leather leggings and fur boots and gloves. I walked out of the tent that I shared with Zaynabi to see Kharjo on a log by the fire.
"Morning Kharjo." I said sleepily.
"Good morning Serine." He replied. I sat down next to him.
"Making breakfast?" I asked.
"Well umm I was wondering if uh you would do it? Last time I burnt it and the time before that...and the time before that." He asked sheepishly.
"Of course." I smiled as I stood up and walked to the cook pot. I poured some of the water from my water skin into the pot then walked back to my tent grabbing some veggies and five pieces of salmon. I put them in the pot and crushed some tomatoes and put them in as well making it thicker.
After a few minutes I put the food in bowls giving one to Kharjo and putting three on the log opposite of us and carried one to my place.
"Kharjo thanks you." Kharjo said.
"Yep." I replied. We ate in peace until I herd a snicker.
"Here kitty kitty kitty." It was Tovar the man always taunted me. He was a welp for the companions.
"Welp!" I yelled. He started walking towards the camp. "Back off idiot!" I garbed my sword from its sheath and he started walking away.
"Can't a man just mess with a pretty lady." He slurred I automatically knew he was drunk and heading to Honingbrew Meadary to get even more drunk.
"Not one that's drunk and going to get even more drunk."
"Aww darn well you could come with me."
"No Tovar go back to Jourvaskar." I turned around and sat next to Kharjo again.
"Well spoken." He complimented.
"Thanks." I replied laying my head on his shoulder. We stayed like that for a while just us quiet until Ahkair dramatically burst through his tent flaps.
"Ahkair herd yelling then smelled food." He announced. "Now our first order of business, EVERYONE UP UP UP ITS TIME TO GET UP AND GET READY FOR THE DAY!" I covered my ears as Ahkair continued screaming until all the Khajiit were up.
"Now pack up your stuff and tents and get dressed were moving to Riiiifften!" Ahkair yelled so groggily I got up and pulled the steaks out of the ground and gathered my things. I didn't have much just a couple tunics and leggings, a pair of boots, a stuffed bear made of burlap, three books, and a necklace which I slipped on. It was a scale from my dad that had been weaved in my thick dark toddler curls. I also grabbed my bed roll and the fur I covered with and rolled them up sticking them in my bag then I grabbed the flat tent rolling it up and putting it on top of the bag. I was ready and so was the rest of the caravan. I pulled the hood I had sown on my tunic out from under my armor and pulled it over my head. I walked out looking around we were waiting for Zaynabi. Finally she came out and we started walking. We walked out of Whiterun following the White River to the Darkwater River down to the Treva River then followed that down to Riften. Finally we were there and I was sent in the town to get food. I wandered to the market absorbed in my own thoughts when I crashed into something. I was laying in the ground looking up at a red head with emerald green eyes when I realized I was gasping for breath and couldn't breathe.
"You alright lass?" He asked reaching his hand down to help me up I gladly expected and let him pull me up as I regained breath.
"Are you new in town?" He asked.
"Yah..." I replied gasping for air. "I...need to...go get...some stuff."
"Right lass and by the way if your looking for work come find me." He told me and with that I bought some bread.
I plopped down next to Kharjo and handed him a pice of bread I set the rest next to me saving one for myself. We ate in silence, something was up with Kharjo because he was usually the most talkative Khajiit ever but I knew if I tried to get what ever was wrong out of him he would be as stubborn as a mule so after I finished eating I went to bed.
