You shivered a bit as your music began to play. Your headphones never let you down, they always gave you the best experience you've ever had when it came to music. The bass from the song gave you chills as the lead vocalist began to sing. God damn did this man have a beautiful voice. You were packing for your trip back home, your parents had recently bought a new house and needed you to come and house-sit for their anniversary night to ensure nothing got destroyed or stolen by the neighborhood kids.

I can be the monster....

You had everything you needed, including a few books and a couple of Wicca books, you had recently discovered an Occult store and had decided to look into some of the things they sold. You were currently on a break from college and figured it would be nice to see your parents, even if it was only for a couple of hours. You didn't expect them to come home once they left that night until the next morning. They always stayed somewhere other than home to make sure they had an entire night to themselves, even though you knew they missed you. They were always calling you and asking about how your life has been, you've only been gone for a year and half so far.

I can be the teeth sunk in your skin...

You grabbed your bag and made your way out of your dorm. The morning light burned your eyes as you stepped outside, it wasn't very often you left the room unless you had to. Your roommate worried about you seeing as how you almost never had your light on. Truth be told you simply enjoyed the smell of your candles and the light they emitted. Artificial light and the real thing were very different, kind of like Instagram models in real life and on the app. The artificial lighting just appealed to you more. Once you had your things in the trunk of your crimson red Mustang your parents got you before you left, you got in the drivers seat and blared your music as you took off.

I can be the terrifying, ultraviolet sin...

After a couples of hours you arrived at the address your parents had given you. The house didn't look like much, in fact it looked pretty worn down. You weren't sure how your parents thought that this place was a good place to settle at but hey, they had a weird sense of thought, and you loved them for it. You pulled into the newly paved parking spot beside their car and turned off the car. Before you even got out your parents were already outside and heading towards you. They looked so much older, like the way middle aged people are portrayed on T.V. Salt and pepper hair, ever so slight laugh marks and kind eyes. Your mother opened the door and hurried you out so she could hug you tightly as your father brought in your bags. You loved them so much.

I can be the darkness you hold dear...

It wasn't long after you got your things put away in the guest room you would be staying in, your parents decided to head out. You gave them both a kiss on the cheek and gestured for them to be careful and not to get in too much trouble. With a laugh they left, reminding you of the various numbers you could reach them at if need be. Once they left you took out your books and played your music loudly, it echoed through the house. The rhythm made you slowly dance as a mischievous smirk made its way onto your lips. You couldn't help but to feel empowered as you listened to the Dark Wave/Goth Rock. The music sounded much louder than it was, thanks to the house not having much furniture. It was so loud that, while you read up on spell while swaying around the room with a beer in one hand that you didn't hear the creak coming from the stairs.

I can be the amplifying reason for your tears...

As you swayed your way around the living room the creaking sound got closer. Only this time, you heard it. You paused and rose an eyebrow, no one else lived with your parents and you were an only child. The were allergic to animal fur so it couldn't be a pet, not one large enough to make that noise. You turned around, expecting nothing to be there, and happily, you were right. You laughed at yourself a bit and turned back, coming to a stand still you dropped your book and beer. There was a masked man in a blue jumpsuit standing in front of you. You failed to notice the knife in his hand and frowned, walking up to him with your hands on your hips you began to speak.

"Excuse me, Halloween night, yeah I get it, break into someone house prank them shit. But can you just get out? I'm not exactly in the mood for it this time."

The man tilted his head slightly. Even though he didn't believe in talking much at all, he barely pulled the edge of his mask up to uncover a pair of velvet lips.

"No can do."

He grabbed your hip and pulled you close, holding the knife against your throat.

"Now how about you be a good girl and dance again?"

(It's shitty, I'm sorry guys >~< I'll hopefully update it later and make it kinda better.)
